MadDoggyca Posted December 3, 2008 Share Posted December 3, 2008 first off I likE to say I HATE ALMOST EVER NORTON PROGRAM TO DATE. with a few slight rare occasions... and macaffee is no better,. none the less I stumbled on this webpage ... THE VIDEO IS A MUST SEE, I CRYED LAUGHING TOOO HARD AND WAS THING SOOO TURE THIS HAS HAPPEND MANNY OF TIMES> MUST SEE VIDEO and info on program but I caught my self wanting to try it. so I pulled my credit card out and waz on my way to see if the following was in fact true or not (im alwazs on the look out for a faster anti virus will less resources) the website claims the following Lightning Fast* Rapid Pulse Updates every 5 to 15 minutes <yes this is true and is nice to have Installs in less than a minute <sure dose Adds less than 1 second to boot time <outstanding it did on my pc.. talk about fast boot Light as a Feather* Uses less than 6MB memory even without the Gamer Mode performance boost (I had to double check this but in fact it dose use less then 6meg of ram ) Needs less than 50MB hard disk space on installation <ok it lies..... on my pc it only shows 12MB after install... imprisive Runs only 2 processes at a time <this I had to double check and in fact it uses less then AVG or AVAST> Performance graphs display CPU and memory usage and how little Norton is using pics will show the rest.. pictures are from norton and not of my pc running it Best part about this antiVirus is that IT DOSE NOT COME WITH A FIREWALL ... thank god... I hate firewalls... I personaly will not run one and this virus scan dose not come bundled with one which means even less running in the backround... MadDoggyca Posted December 7, 2008 Author Share Posted December 7, 2008 hell no I run no such garbage no block ports (all opened) and no hardware firewall ether the fastest way direct connect from the Internet to my Harddrive... makes online gaming and torrentting that much quicker.. And who would sacrifice the security of having a firewall installed? That's crazy even on OS X. Grab yourself a network monitor and check out all the {censored} on the Net that's trying to establish a connection to your computer. If you're so concerned about performance then you'll at least realize that your computer denying these connections it using at least some resources. If you own a router and haven't configured it otherwise... you DO have a firewall. That's crazy even on OS X." hmm I would I have a linux laptop thats has it firewall disabled too. if there on this in this world I could care less about is PC security when it comes to using a firewall and plus if any one wants to brake into a gaming machine fly at it won't fined much.
