blueray
Hi, It's no good idea to buy an AMD machine to use OSX86. You will ever need to use a hacked osx version and retail updates wont not work out of box. If you want to use osx only, buy an Intel machine and search forum for a good/compatible mainboard. Gigabyte GA-P35* are a perfect solution. Regards Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/132520-amd-or-intel/#findComment-939614 Share on other sites

MaaseyRacer
It is not worth the hastle to go with AMD with an OSX86 build. I would highly recommend making your life easy and going with an intel setup. Morphius Faydal
Without looking around too much myself, I'm going to say that P4* based motherboards are dubiously supported, at best. Again, your best bet is to get one of the Gigabyte GA-P35-*** boards. (replacing *** with whatever model you pick). As for your video card, 8-series would be better as far as support. There are some 9-series that work, but I don't think the 9500 GS is one of them. Korrupted
In my opinion, go Intel, and get a Gigabyte p35/p45 chipset. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/132520-amd-or-intel/#findComment-950285 Share on other sites

vbetts
Oh, even for anything, Intel pwns. AMD is behind at the moment. Over half of the things Intel benches better than AMD, the difference is useless, as you really won't need to play WoW at 100+ fps.
