  1. Well, more and more I am discovering that AMD just plain beats Intel in the price-to-performance match, same with ATI and nVidia. But, I'm wondering if this new setup will in any way hinder an OSx86 setup: AMD Phenom II X4 3.4 GHz - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819103727 MSI 790FX AMD AM3 Motherboard - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813130223 Sapphire AMD ATI Radeon HD 5850 1 GB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814102857 Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 2000 RAM - (x2) -http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104156 If any of these products will not work with an OSx86 setup, please tell me. Or, if you have any suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! ~Ennon
  2. VPN Info

I have no idea, the only VPN service I have ever used was Hamachi. Btw, if you're looking for a cheap netbook, the MSI Wind rules. I'm saving up for one
  3. Partitioning error, actually. . . this message is a pain. If you have other physical drives, try disconnecting them and reinstall. That usually works for me, for some reason. Or, you could trash XP, as it is trash (it uses an installer from Win 3.11!), and install Windows 7. It's much better.
  4. Convert NTFS to HFS+, loselessly?

Get another drive. Format it as HFS+. Copy. Paste. Format your orig. drive as HFS+. Copy. Paste. Otherwise no.
  5. Feeler: Gaming PC/Perfect Hackintosh

Oh, sorry. I thought NewEgg was still selling GeForce 9800s. . . maybe just not that model. And comparing to MGJulius' thoughts, I would say a little more for the RAM and GPU.
  6. Run 32-bit app on 64

Yes, all 64-bit Windows platforms have reverse compatibility with 32-bit programs. They should run perfectly fine whether they are in a 32- or 64-bit version of Windows.
  7. No more Nvidia in Mac

The name of the website alone makes me believe this is fake.
  8. Windows 7, an OS X and Linux killer?

There is a sale for Windows 7 pre-orders at major online retailers such as NewEgg. $100 for a Win 7 Professional Upgrade copy
  9. Feeler: Gaming PC/Perfect Hackintosh

maybe. compare your parts to the prices on NewEgg.com , then add up a total.
  10. Uhh. . . if I have Windows 7 with MacDrive 8 Beta installed, will this mess up my PC if I install this Paragon driver over it?
  11. FS: 8GB iPhone 3G - Jailbroken, 3.0 - $350 OBO

It's not worth more than, guess what, $99. Don't waste your money, Damien. . . Can't say I didn't warn ya.
  12. iPod Nano 3G Update to 4G OS

No. The encryption has not been unlocked for the 2G Nano and up.
  13. FS: 8GB iPhone 3G - Jailbroken, 3.0 - $350 OBO

    1) I can get this for $100 brand new. 2) It doesn't take much to jailbreak it. 3) It doesn't take much to upgrade to the 3.0 Beta, which I wouldn't recommend. (Breaks yell0wsnow) 4) It's not unlocked. (And can't be, for it's at 3.0) http://blog.iphone-dev.org/ Definitely not worth $350. At all.
  14. Never heard of them before. Once NOD32 comes out for Mac, then I might be interested.
