skyliner34
Yeah it crashes with me too. Only when theres a flash object in the web page and I scroll. Otherwise it's fine. Â Turning off enable-plugins in the Safrai Prefrences helped a bit. But it still crashes time to time. Sabr
Don't use Safari... It crashes for me when there is alot of flash content on a page, so I use Camino now... It's excellent - hasn't crashed once! imgeorge
I feel the same way too. So which do you guys is the best under 10.4.5 so far?  Firefox? Camino? or Opera?  I used Camino on a Powerbook before but it's not as responsive as Safari but will test under x86 again.  Yeah it crashes with me too. Only when theres a flash object in the web page and I scroll. Otherwise it's fine. Turning off enable-plugins in the Safrai Prefrences helped a bit. But it still crashes time to time. taek4
I've got the same problem: safari crashes in irregular intervals.. Â But Adium and RBrowser too ^^ Under 10.4.3 it worked better than under 10.4.5 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12334-safari-crashes-more-often-in-1045/#findComment-78178 Share on other sites

DravenJ
I do not have QE and CI on the IBM T41 I am using, but I find safari not crashing at all with enable plugins disabled and the latest updates installed. In fact I am quite happy with the install now that I disabled that feature. axept
and why the hell you use bloody safari with plugins disabled instead of camino full working? aquanutz
That just isn't for OSx86 either, a few weeks ago when I had my 1.25ghz G4 Powermac and I updated to .5 I had crashes like crazy with Safari, actually it caused my whole system to lock and and I had to hold the power button down to turn of the computer.... Only when I did this my powersupply blew on the machine and they are expensive to get a new one... so I was stuck on a windows machine for two weeks until I built the machine in my sig.
