Aldos
I fixed it! I had to use my old Tiger install's ApplePS2Controller.kext (that kext was grabbed from this forum), and my PS/2 keyboard worked!

For those still having problems, feel free to try my fix:

http://rapidshare.com/files/91256196/Apple...r.kext.zip.html
<br so, you change AppleACI kext or remove ACPIPS2NUB ? meisterk
<br so, you change AppleACI kext or remove ACPIPS2NUB ? I took AppleAPCIPlatform.kext from my 10.5.1 install, that has ACPIPS2NUB included
Aldos
can u tell me is the size of that kext? is from iaktos or kalyway?
Korrupted
If you use ACPIPS2Nub, you also need ApplePS2Controller, I'm pretty sure. Then that way you don't have to use old kexts. :censored2:

Cliffton Beach
finaly !keyboard - OK Battery metter - OK It seems that until now all is working I've made a pack with all files i used http://rapidshare.com/files/91282272/PS2_Batt_Working.zip This works for me, in that PS2 KB and mouse work. But reboot does not work. I have an AppleACPIPlatform.kext where reboot works with 10.5.2, but no PS2. Is there a solution for 10.5.2 that allows reboot to work and PS2? bmwkk
i'v put the ACPIPS2NUB KEXTfile in AppleACPIPlatform as plugin, then put the AppleACPIPlatform to the Extansions, so there would be only 3 kext file to move
Aldos
connstance : you should use kext helper for installing the kextspowermanagement.bundle should be put in /System/Library/SystemConfiguration repair permisions drag all kexts into kext helper window, put your pasword and install the kexts rebootF8 during restart and type : -v -f for forcing all kext to be loaded and for verbose mode i have the same reboot and shutdown problem but i think the cause is nvinject and not ACPI kext (that's my case) for the PS2 is enough to put NUB kext, i suppose. if you try to put another ACPI, you should delete the nub kext included in it but the battery meter will not work in that case make a try and give us a feedback
harcker
Successful slove the problem after restore ACPI and SMBIOS file.

Aldos
if somebody just installed the update pls make the following test: keep the existing AppleACPIPlatform.kext (10.5.2 update not change that file, so is the old one that worked in 10.5.1) but delete in it the ACPIPS2Nub.kext and use the one from my archive. the PS2 should work replace powermangement.bundle with one in my archive and check the battery meter it should also work the only problem should be the error in System Profiler i'm not sure but you should try nd send us a feedback if is not working, use all files in the archive. Cliffton Beach
All working well? Including reboot? If so, would there be a possibility for someone to pack up the acpiplatform, nub etc that work with ps2 and reboot? There are so many of them floating around I'm not sure which is which anymore on my machine.
connstance
Yes, all working well. Icluding reboot and shutdown. I have some problem: after wake up laptop doesn't reboot or shutdown normally. I can see some error: "...IOATAdevice...busy...bus...", not remember full text. But I have this problem in 10.5.1.
Aldos
so, let's summarize: 1. for keyboard you need 2 kexts: ACPIPS2Nub.kext si ApplePS2Controller.kext 2. for battery meter you need PowerManagement.bundle 1.37-1 and AppleACPIPowerSource.kext the last one can be put like plugin in AppleACPIPlatform.kext i will try later to put it as standalone kext that way you can use stock vanilla kernel, AppleACPIPlatform.kext and AppleSMBIOS.kext i've noticed that if you use the ACPIPS2Nub.kext 40kb in size with vanilla SMBIOS the bluetooth will not work anymore, and also you will have problems with SystemProfiler so, use the updated ACPIPS2Nub.kext which is 80kb in size, but be carefully to have the correct version of AppleACPIPlatform in info.plist, which is 1.2.1 in new vanilla kernel. also check the AppleACPIPlatform version in AppleACPIPowerSource.kext !!! the shutdown/reboot problem is from video drivers i suppose connstance, how could you rezolve that problem ?!? connstance
I did not solve a problem with reboot\shutdown. I had replaced my files on files from yours pack and I do not have any problems. I have another problem: ...some problem: after wake up laptop doesn't reboot or shutdown normally. But I had it before 10.5.2 update, and I have it now.
