Keyboard and Trackpad fix "AFTER" 5.2 update?

Got it fixed:)For laptop users: Keyboard & mouse would stop working unless you backup your AppleACPIplatform.kext and restore it before rebooting. This AppleACPIPlatform.kext (with PS2 support) doesnt work with stock kernels so you would have to backup your old kernel as well. Even if you are using ACPIPS2nub.kext wont work; this kext has to be recompiled for 10.5.2...

What I did is re-installed AppleACPIplatform.kext AFTER UPDATE BEFORE RESTART with the Kext Helper b7 app that came with the kalyway 5.1 install. Reboot and bob's your uncle!!

******Now about this mac crashes:(

anyone?

Thanks I will try that:) and report back.

Re-installing now:( After Graphics update would not boot to the desktop only the blue screen. With gma950!

Anyone know how to fix?

Hi Xosx86,

This is usually because you need to revert to the older AppleIntelIntegratedFrameBuffer.kext find your previous working version under 10.5.1 and replace the current version, remove kext caches and reboot.

i will ask the person who give me that hint

i didn't test it so i don't know even what is in the zip package

i don't have my hackintosh here so i must wait until i'l go home

but i think u should extract the acpips2nub.kext

and replace the old one
make a backup first !

i don't think u need cpp file

sorry, but i have no more details about that until now

i will try it by myself and we'll see what's happening

i is supposed that the kext is from the iAKTOS or Kalway DVD, that worked for 10.5.1

i will try to extract it with Pacifist and check if it is the same file

i don't know what to say

i have the same problem and i was very excited about that fix

but it seems that it is not a good one

So I'm having the same problem as everyone else with my Toshiba Laptop. Here's what I've done so far (with no luck):

- I restored AppleACPIPlatform kext right after installing 10.5.2 patch, didn't work.

- I booted from the original Kalyway 10.5.1 disc and restored AppleACPIPlatform and AppleSMBIOS kexts, didn't work

- I noticed the ACPIPS2nub kext thing on boot, so I grabbed a USB keyboard (which works), compiled the kext using Xcode and installed it. After this, I got a kernel panic.

Anyone else have anything that could help?

There is an update combo from Kalyway

search the forum

it seems that the acpips2nub kext is not working in 10.5.2

somebody just said that the track[ad an keyboard is working just fine after restore AppleACPIPlatform.kext

but be carefully !

u should use the kext helper when replace ACPI and mark the option to touch the mkext and repair permisions before reboot

otherwise, the system will crash !
Aldos mate is your ps2 working then? The reason I ask is I will use the iATKOS version if thats the case as a test

i can't say that :D

i've encountered an error when i was trying to replace the ACPI kext

so, now i'm gonna test the kalyway release :P
