WoL in BIOS has really nothing to do with WoL in MacOS. Disable it. I'd check the BIOS settings in order to make sure that the network stack, network boot, etc. are disabled.

Send me kernel logs of the driver created with the debug version of the kext including a full boot sequence and a sleep / wake cycle.

Will do and report back. I think that my Ethernet port is totally powered down during sleep and that's what's causing the problem...

This might be a DSDT related issue as method _PRW must be properly defined for a device in order to be able to wake the system.

As I said, I'm using Ozmosis and no separate DSDT that I can check or edit (nor I have the knowledge to do so). I asked @crusher. , who made the ROM, to take a look, but still waiting for a reply.

You can extract the DSDT and the SSDTs.

I generated SSDT with pikeralpha ssdtPRGen.sh script, and put it into /EFI/Oz/Acpi/Load/.

I extracted DSDT from ROM. Attached is the archive with DSDT, SSDT and boot log so You can take a look.

I will install debug kext and provide sleep/wake logs but I can't do it right now.

Goran

Here is also sleep-wake sequence from "log show --predicate "processID == 0" --debug". Turning on ethernet, sleep, wake.sleep-wake.zip

Your kernel logs are worthless because they haven't been created with the debug version so that there isn't enough information to retrace what happened.

WOL works now. What I did:

1. Installed AppleIntelE1000, didn't work, reinstalled IntelMausiEthernet. WOL didn't work.

2. Installed latest FakeSMC sensors and went through BIOS settings. Turned on Intel Rapid Start and checked in Network Adapter that WOL is turned on there also. WOL worked but no sensors in HW Monitor.

3. Reinstalled old Sensors and rebooted. WOL still works

4. Turned off Intel Rapid start in BIOS. WOL still works!

So, I have exactly the same setup as before (and same messages in log) but WOL is working. I have no idea why.  :cursing:

Goran

Well, it might have been the result of a messed up BIOS configuration which was fixed by redoing the configuration. Anyway, I'm happy that the problem is solved now. :)

I would think so but I already reset (cmd-alt-P-R) PRAM and changed the settings couple of times before, so I'm still puzzled with this.

If I leave ethernet hardware configuration on Automatic, It's only full-duplex. Is it better to select Manual, and then select full-duplex, flow-control, energy -efficient-ethernet? Any benefits?

Thanks for Your support.

Best regards,

Goran

Driver related kernel panics occur when a driver fails to communicate with the OS, which is definitely not the case for IntelMausiEthernet, or when there is something wrong with the system, for example messed up system caches, a broken DSDT or a wrong BIOS setting which causes BIOS code to interfere with the driver. Check for a messed up system (system caches, etc.), a DSDT related problem or a wrong BIOS setting. Anyway, fix your system to get rid of the KP!

I got a similar KP recently to the ones posted here. I wonder if 10.13.6 has an issue because the driver has been flawless for me except for this one recent KP.

Hi Mieze,

I got similar KP after sleep, meanwhile it's ok to use wifi instead and leave ethernet unplugged.

Once again, fix your system and everything will be fine! This kind of KPs keep popping up after every major update and it always turned out that the driver is innocent. :cat:

Gigabyte z170 Ultra Gaming, I have been using Intelmausiethernet for a year without a problem.

Last week I installed a bcm943602cs which works like a charm. The downside is that the ethernet connection din't connect anymore. It is detected but does not work.

¿Any idea?

How to understand where is the problem in system? In my case KP happens when OneDrive syncing lot of data  (50-100GB)....

Thanks

Dumb question, can I inject this kext via EFI/Clover/Other or do I have to install it into S/L/E?

If I inject, do I still have to do the kext removals as listed above?

It's your call. Both methods work fine. Anyway you have to remove AppleIntelE1000e.kext in order to avoid conflicts.

In the past there have always been reports of kernel panics after every major update of macOS and I also received some of them from users which upgraded to Mojave. It always turned out that the driver is innocent and I have no reason to assume that it's different this time.

Anyway, I ran some tests with 10.14.1 this afternoon using the prebuilt binary from the download section and there haven't been any issues. Version 2.4.0 of IntelMausiEthernet works perfectly with Mojave. In case you are experiencing any problems, it's most likely because something went wrong during the update and you should try to fix your system.
