Here are a couple more pictures.
I've included a picture of the sata ports (4 are sata 2, 2 are sata3) and the codec (ALC892), again all of which work out of the box. For my setup I've only added the cpu and (lots of) ram.
I have tested the thunderbolt ports and I was able to boot up with the apple ethernet adapter working (although the internal connector works fine too).
My understanding is that the board will be sold standalone (but don't take my word on it) and will be comparable in price to current thunderbolt mobos. On neweggs website, the closet that I could find to this board in terms of number of ports is ~$240 (the GA-Z77X-UP5 TH). The facebook page that iztech listed does have a preliminary price listed there. This board does have firewire that the other one doesn't as well.
As far as the install procedure goes, seeing as I do some development work for chameleon, I decided to install with the legacy chameleon method. Using the latest chameleon, you can bootup the installesd + chameleon + fakesmc and do the complete install w/o anything else. If anyone wants a guide on how to do an install w/ this board and the installesd (and/or maybe a video), I'd be happy to make one.
As XyZ / THe KiNG mentioned, the board can boot os x with out chameleon as well (although I haven't tried it yet myself). There are a few custom efi modules in the firmware that let it load up boot.efi.
