It doesn't matter if the card has no hybrid EFI VBios to embrace Ultra/Super Fast Boot, as you know we still can boot UEFI with Clover.

For me it did matter and I had to use the trick with a normal vbios.

Most probably it was the Secure Boot setting which will block everything besides Windows boot loader from starting. It could be called differently on Asrock.

It has the option to disable 'Secure Boot' but still no success :(

Maybe I would send a request for hybrid EFI VBios to Sapphire.

And FYI, my HD 7870 XT works with AtiConfig=Chutoro.

You might get the idea from here > http://www.insanelym...dpost&p=1853099

In my case, i did a bit differently (maybe wrong method). First, i looked at the number of ports, then type of connectors (dvi/hdmi/dsub/dp etc). So, i tried Aji but not injected. I checked in ioregistryexplorer, i found only 2 that listed there (Chutoro and Hamachi).

k3nny I must thank you!
I have a MSI R7850 hawk 1G and I do as you do.
I flash the UEFI BIOS from MSI forum. Boot with MotherBoard&Video UEFI BIOS ON.
FBName Aji and 4 Ports is alright.
Now I can eliminate the sleep trick!

fau7i I must thank you, too.

@riverscn:
Thanks for the report. Just to confirm: You are using Clover in UEFI mode?

Yes, it's working with Chameleon + sleep trick. But I'm not sure its performance is good enough > #10

Yes I boot Clover in UEFI mode. Legacy Boot not solve this problem.
I am using a GA-H77N-WIFI motherboard.

Ok, my HD 7870 XT (ID 679e) is working now with Clover. I would confirm here that NO SLEEP TRICK :thumbsup_anim:

Here is my config in order to make it works;

Clover :
- r1177 (specifically for this card)
- Remove CsmVideo driver
- FBName=Futomaki
- GraphicsInjector=Yes
- No custom DSDT

BIOS/UEFI setup for Asrock Z77 Extreme6 :
- Disable IGPU Multi Monitor (Lucid Virtu)
- Set share memory NOT to AUTO
- May or may not disabling CSM (as long as no CsmVideo driver in Clover)

I found Futomaki is the best currently since DVI-D and HDMI ports automatically give the correct resolution to my monitor (max 1920x1080). Not yet tested with miniDP.
With other framebuffers I got;
Aji and Dashimaki - lost signal when using HDMI port.
Hamachi - I have to scale down resolution when using DVI-D port.

Thanks a lot k3nny :smoke:

I cannot believe you guys made it so quickly: congratulations.

Thinking seriously about getting a 7950 myself for a fourth hackintosh (or even switch from my current nVidia setup in my main machine).

All the best!

Do you really need it? What is your ATI card? A change in r1177 refers to HD 8780 XT (Tahiti LE) - ID 679e. For other cards, most likely are already supported. So you can use r1174 instead. Check here > http://sourceforge.n...Platform/ati.c.

Here is my config.plist;

OK, your DeviceID is 0x679a and it is already supported by Clover. Check if it supported by AMDAccelerator and AMD7000Controller.
You have to follow other user recommendations: choose one of frames (Aji, Dashimaki, Futomaki or Hamachi), write proper values into config.plist, and boot in UEFI mode.
May be you need also ATI connectors patch as invented by bcc9.
For exclude sleep trick you have to erase CsmVideoDxe-64.efi. It is a trick.

Might be your card doesn't have efi vbios, so with legacy vbios means similar to booting with Chameleon.
