Well, OOPS.

I updated from a stable 10.7.1 (after using this method) to 10.7.2 by mistake. I thought I had unchecked the 10.7.2 option in the Software Updater but it went ahead and did it any way.

Things seem to be mostly OK -- it booted fine, and while it's taken a while to get up to speed seems to be running well, except the sound stopped working.

What should I do? Do I need to run recrendae again?

Hi.

I'm trying to install OS Lion for a long time on my PC but without success. This is my pc configuration;

Intel i7 extreme 965

Rampage II extreme rev 2. xx version 1802

6gb of triple channel branded ram

ati radeonHD 4890

I've finished this tutorial and mounting Lion installation stops at boot0 error. Also using Windows 7 OS.

I've got 1 mb unlocated space on system hd.

Please help.Need help also with bios settings for os x Lion.

Is there any video tutorial ? That would be best of all.

After the 10.7.2 update my Jmicron ESATA stopped working: when I plug the external HDD in, the system says "the drive you inserted cannot be recognized" or something like that, and suggest to initialize it. The HDD is OK, since it works fine via USB connection.

In 10.7.1 ESATA worked fine, with hot swapping, the only problem I had was that I could not reboot with ESATA drive connected and turned on.

Now, the Jmicron controller is listed in the system profiler, so that seems to be OK, the Jmicron36xsata.kext is there in S/L/E. Please help!

P.S.

What's strange is that even with jmicron36..kext deleted, I still get the Jmicron AHCI listed in system profiler.

I have also noticed that all my drives (on Intel controller) are listed as "connection type - external" in Disk Utility, even though the icons are grey, not orange.

Hi everyone,

Got a major problem with the update 10.7.2 or Lion itself, I don't know.

I got various Finder crashes and sometimes kernel panics and I don't know why!!! (I'm a newbie in this). It happens too much times a day... maybe 20 times... it's unsupportable. I need a solution.

This is what I got:

Hardware:

Asus P6T SE

i7 930 2,80ghz

3x2GB HyperX Kinsgton DDR3

GeForce 460X 768mb

Software: via Chameleon Wizard 3.3.1

Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132 - Chimera v1.5.4 r1394

org.chameleon.Boot.plist:

- GUI

- Time Out: 5

- Default Partition hd(0,2)

- Legacy Logo

- Ethernet Built in

- DSDT.aml (the one from this post for P6T SE)

- smbios.plist

- Graphics Enabler

- Graphics Mode: 1280x800x32

Smbios.plist: iMac12,2

If someone can help me please??? I'm thinking about a downgrade and go back to Snow, much more stable. Snif...

Also, my wireless Logitech mouse scroll is reversed… any idea???

If you make a clean install can you use that DSDT (it have your gfx injected) so just make sure to "disable" GraphicsEnabler when you boot from the USB...

Heya Fabio! TY SO MUCH T___T

I've been trying to get my Hac up for months on end. Now thanks to this installer I'm replying from Lion :(

I do still have the issue of having to get my graphics fully operational. I was wondering if you're able to fully enable an EVGA GTX 570 HD through DSDT? (or if you had a better method than this one Weezy Mac: GTX 570 10.7.2)

I had to install Lion using my old 9800GT because it kept stopping at [PCI Configuration Begin] with the GTX.

Also, my PCIRootUID=1

Everything else is running PERFECTLY ^___^ Cant thank you enough.

My specs are:

Sabertooth x58

i7 950

12Gb DDR3 1333

EVGA GTX 570 HD

Use the BIOS setting "similar" as your motherboard.

Hi guys!

I have ASUS P6T SE and I have installed Snow Leopard and Lion on it (on separate HD drives each of them) Also I have Win7. After my GPU EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX has crushed I changed to GeForce 7300 (from original MAC Pro). And as the Snow Leopard keep working as before, with Lion my boot gets stuck at: [PCI configuration begin]. I found that the peoples tried to change flags such as: -npci=0x2000 , -PCIRootUID=1, -x. But I don't know where & how can I do this.

That's why I need your help. Please.

What I need to do?

Thank you in advance.

For me: PCIRootUID=1 gives me a kernel panic so I won't use it.

This is what I would do: From Snow, use the Chameleon Wizard and the DSDT.aml to update the extra folder of Lion, and same for the smbios.plist.

Also, maybe take a look if you need to uninstall the kext from your old graphic card, or quit the options like "Graphic enabler",... but ask for a specialist... I'm a newbie.

I tried with Chameleon Wizard. But with no result. In fact I made clean install of Lion on other HD. The installing process was successful, but after first reboot before setting up my system, boot process got stuck.

My Snow Leopard keeps working perfect.

Can anybody help me with this? Please.

Hi everyone,

just made a quick modification to the script.

For those who only have the InstallESD.dmg(like me :) )

Just place your InstallESD.dmg in BOX Folder just like the COMBO Update. Rest of Process is similar.

Credits for the original script go to ErmaC, i just changed a few lines. BTW amazing work this script.

Hope you enjoy. As always no warranty :D

maltba.

would be nice as someone maybe is able to help me? Getting "still waiting for root device error". Maybe its because i downloaded the new version from the mac appstore( 10.7.2). i'm about to try it with the 10.7 InstallESD.dmg hopefully this helps. Are there any other Ideas why this actually happens?

System Preferences > Mouse > Untick 'Move content in the direction of finger movement when scrolling or navigating'

Thanx, I just founded the answer... so simple damned... :D

Be sure you update the right place if you use multiples hard drives!

For example: I'm using a very small "Boot" Partition for Snow and for Lion. My extra folder is in this volume, not in the lion partition or in snow! Be sure you update the right folder with Chameleon Wizard.

Well, I did exactly as you describe but it doesn't fixed the problem.

I made clean installation (again), with my new graphic card GTX 550 Ti, and during installation everything was good, in first reboot the process get stuck on this:

ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin: :registerLPCDriver - failed to locate SMC driver

.

Any idea what is this and how can I fix it.

There is a screen shot

I tried this guide and it's work for me. But now my Snow Leopard doesn't see my Graphic card. Anyway, this is not my problem.

The strange in all this story is, that when I booted from boot partition from guide above, I tried to run <finalize>(with installation USB mounted) but terminal said: no such file or volume. Then I located the finalize shell and opened it, and again the terminal said the same thing.

Conclusion: I tried everything from this guide but it doesn't work for me. :D

no one seems to know what I can do to fix my sound? accidentally upgraded to 10.7.2 from a stable 10.7.1 and now sound doesn't work, and things feel a little more sluggish than usual.

I'm trying to find the right thing to do to fix but other than a complete reinstall I don't know what I should do...

sorry for being stupid!

The size of the Install Mac OS X Lion.app ?

You need one ORIGINAL version (probably you have a custom prepatched file probably downloaded from a "non Apple website") and Lionize works only with untouched version.

Your motherboard is?

Fabio

I'm having the same problem. Lionize only seems to work on the App Store version of "Install Mac OS X Lion.app", not the disc installer version, which is what I'm using. (The size of this "Install Mac OS X Lion.app" is only 14.4mb, and is coupled with a rather hefty "Packages" folder which presumably contains all of the installation files.)

I would hop onto the App Store and get the "real" version of "Install Mac OS X Lion.app", but since I'm working from a new MacBook Pro that came with Lion pre-installed, the App Store refuses to let me download it - it simply says "Installed". Because this MBP came with Lion, I don't think I have the option of digging around in my user folder for an installer. I'm not sure where to go from here.

(I know I couldn't be the first person to have the "Installed" problem, but I wasn't able to find a solution elsewhere on the site. This problem is distinct from the can't-log-in-to-the-App-Store problem and the Lion-can't-be-installed-from-this-computer problem.)

It is possible to re-download Lion from the Appstore. Google instructions, you have to hold option key, or something like that to get the "installed" button to change to "install". However, I tested it after installing Lion by downloading it from Appstore in the first place, so then I have Lion in my "purchases" tab, and if I click that tab with option key pressed, I get "installed" change into "install". I am not sure about preinstalled Lion.

Just a quick question, has anyone been able to enable front-panel audio on the Asus P6X58D-E? I've got back panel and HDMI, though no optical support. Headphones worked back on #####, but it disables my HDMI since I'm using a custom DSDT (this thread, plus HDMI edits).

Hey Everyone, for those with a ATI 4890 out there.

I fixed my sleep finally with disabling the "Repost Video on S3 Resume" option in bios. Just for those who are getting a scrambled screen after sleep wakeup.

and for those who don't even get a video output while booting the install usb stick, try to set GraphicsEnabler=No in the Bootplist( or just start with the argument GraphicsEnabler=No) and add the ATY_Init.kext into the <USB-STICK>/Extra/Extensions folder
