same here on my first system in rig, all works perfect, just replaced applehda for the alc1200 chipset. what about the bench scores....the same as before....(geekbench 2.1.7)

Run your benchmarks before and after updating, see if there's a difference. I always forget about this.

Uh-oh. Lost sound, although listed on System Profiler, but no sound device on System Preference. Reinstalled hacked appleHDA to have sound back back.
QE/CI properties as well not found on graphics on System Profiler. But QE/CI is still enabled, still got transparent menu bar..

Whew!

Those were the files, update have installed, the AppleHDA files I have reinstalled to make sound work again.

Updated to 10.6.5 without any problems.
Cinebench showed slightly better GPU performance (up from 36.07 to 36.32), CPU remained at 7.28.
i7 920 @ 4.2GHz

No problems on my Lattitude D830 updated and runs perfectly fine for those with a modified kernel though i wouldnt be able to tell. im about to try and up an AMD system =D

Updating to 10.6.5 stopped my USB working (including keyboard and mouse). Fix is to use 10.6.4 kexts it seems.
