  1. Hi Guys, I'm currently trying to install SL Server in VMWare Workstation 7.1.3, but I can't manage to do it. Here are my Specs: Host: 32bit Ubuntu 10.04 Host CPU: AMD 5050e (supports AMD-V) I downloaded a pre-configured SL-Server Image (10.6.6), but whenever I try to start it, I just get a message that says "Mac OS X is not supported with software virtualization. To run Mac OS X you need a host on which VMWare Workstation supports hardware virtualization." I tried running it as root, but still no luck. I also checked the BIOS, AMD-V is enabled. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. 10.6.5 update available in Software Update

Please report back - you have almost the same Config as the Hackintosh I want to build.
  3. 10.6.5 Released

    Thank you!
  4. 10.6.5 Released

Where can I find the Combo-Updater? oO
  5. Electronista reports that ATI/AMD has released a Radeon HD 3870 for Mac and PC as a Combo-card, meaning it does not require flashing or the like to run on either a Mac or PC. While this is great news for Mac Pro users, it is also great news for the OSX86 community. Being able to buy a graphics card knowing it will work is nice for sure, and other card vendors wil surely follow suit.
  6. I'm about to build a friend of mine a Hackintosh to go with his iMac G5, and I wonder about EFI. Since it's possible to have a "real" Mac OS X with EFI that updates just fine, can I also use Boot Camp to boot Windows? Or may I still use the Darwin Bootloader to do so? Since Windows XP doesn't support EFI, how do you boot it with a vanilla System? Thanks, the anonymous one.
  7. Leopard leaked!

I keep getting Tracker Errors... but seems to be real.
  8. For Sell - Wlan PCMCIA Cards OSX ready!

Also eine von Belkin - ist das eine PCMCIA Karte, oder eine MiniPCMCIA wie die originale Airport-Karte? Ditto für die Hama.
  9. To catch a Predator

AFAIK, something like that would be illegal in any good juridicature, since you decieved someone beforehand to gain "evidence". Point is: there is none. There is no evidence that there was intercourse between these two, so there is no case. There isn't even evidence that he planned to - what if he merely wanted to meet with the kid to tell him how wrong it is to respond to strangers on the internet?
  10. UseNet for Mac OS X

Is there even such a thing like a free Usenet-Account? My ISP doesn't list all the binary-Newsgroups, and Panics Service seems a little bit... erm... well, strange.
  11. What? I say it is. 355 gives you a fairly decent all in one System, and 1,42 Ghz was the Top of the line. If I were in the market for a cheap, good all in one System, I'd buy it right away. Also, check THIS link out to see just how cool an eMac is: http://www.lbodnar.dsl.pipex.com/eMac/eMac-upgrade.html The tool you're searching for is the System Profiler, which can be acessed buy clicking at the blue Apple at the upper left corner --> About this Mac --> More Info. Just keep in mind that the Video-Card probably won't do any Core Image Effects.

A black iChat Icon?! Also, seems like you run it on a Mac Pro... Cargo: Colonel posted it, and I trust him, so there.
