OS X on the MSI Wind, Before it's Released

A hacker, and a member of our forums, has managed to get Mac OS X Leopard running on the MSI Wind. This is what jav had to say about getting it on his MSI Wind. It's translated from spanish.

Well, here it is. The new MSI Wind running Kalyway 10.5.2. I still have to make some adjustments, such as the resolution and the wireless card, but I couldn't stop myself from posting these images that I'm sure will get the interest from more than one person. Ethernet and Bluetooth work right out of the box, so I'm really expecting a lot from this small notebook.

All that and the MSI Wind isn't even going to be released until July 7th.

EDIT: It appears that the sound also works OTB. The resolution and wireless are the only things that we know of that don't work.

Interesting... looks like most of you guys got still Leopard on their winds.

 

Is Snowleopard not working properly yet on the Wind?

 

I would :) to try SL on my Wind, but the 10.5.8 runs so smoothly atm

Nah, it is working great on the little thing. I just made the install and am writing from it now.

Just curious, I think I am missing the significance of this, what is so great about running kalyway on an msi? This has been all over the msi wind forums for a while now, it's not so new. What am I missing? There's gotta be a reason for the exitement? Also, could someone point me in the direction of a driver request page? I has a sinster idea. >:-)

Leopard 10.5.7 works fine on my Medion Akoya.

 

Wifi and resolution fine with Iatkos v7 950GMA drivers ;)
