OS X 10.10.4 Update Available - Build 14E46 - Updated

Apple release today the new update for OS X Yosemite.

 

The new OS X version is available through the Mac App Store. Developers and public beta testers running preview releases of OS X 10.10.4 can find the update through the Updates tab as well.

 

This update:

• Improves networking reliability

• Improves Migration Assistant reliability

• Addresses an issue that prevented some external displays from functioning properly

• Improves the reliability of upgrading iPhoto and Aperture libraries to Photos

• Improves reliability when syncing photos and videos to iCloud Photo Library

• Addresses an issue that could cause Photos to unexpectedly quit after importing some Lecia DNG files

• Resolves an issue that could delay outgoing email messages in Mail

• Fixes an issue where a website could prevent the user from navigating away by presenting repeated JavaScript alerts in Safari

 

Enterprise content

 

For enterprise customers, this update:

• Addresses an issue where OS X systems bound to directory services could stop responding under certain conditions

• Adds the ability to create mobile accounts with the createmobileaccount tool

• Fixes an issue in Profile Manager that could allow a user to install pre-release software even when the setting is disabled

Anyone with EFI clover setup that made the update? I can't boot now and i can't find the amd kext in the EFI partition

 

lots of people have updated with efi clover, mate.

Thanks for the replies at first! I think that clover is installed in uefi mode. I used exactly chris1111 method that is described here 

 I just updated from the Appstore and, after the reboot, the PC got stuck to an update screen that says waiting for restart.

Did you try force shutdown manually ?

Thats Notting to do with clover

I shut it down using the reset button but it still hangs in the loading screen. I can only boot into safe mode

Yes, some users have problems with patched kexts in 10.10.4
 
Is needed apply a patch again in the new kexts.

And maibe update for latest clover because Slice Fix ATI 7x couple weeks a go

Yesterday I have updated my Surface pro to 10.10.4. Now I have a strange problem :(. My Surface pro boots very very slow (>50x times slower). It can boot and start Yosemite but the hole system is very slow. Something is changed in the system because the loading of clover is also very slow. So it isn't the Mac OS. I have tried a hard reset, drain the accu but nothing helps. Does anyone have a clue how to undone this?

My Surface Pro is working again :). I have reinstalled the Kexts and now it is working fine again.I have only a issue that it takes a very long time that glover  starts. That should be solvable :)

i have no idea how to patch the and kext or update the clover loader, can somebody help me please??

First make sure you have a full back up of your system on another hd and try and boot from that hd to make sure all is working. Once you are happy with that just download the latest version of clover and install it.

 

There is link in the downloads under boot loaders.

Hey Guys, be careful with a new bug in OS X 10.10.4.

 

You can read more about that here: DYLD_PRINT_TO_FILE

This bug maybe will be fixed in OS X 10.10.5 and El Capitan.

I think maibe thats why security is so tight now on El Capitan, but not sure  :rolleyes:
