iPhones

Apple has reported a staggering 1.7 million sales of its latest iPhone in just the first 3 days of release, from Thursday 24th June through to Saturday 26th June.

This is the most iPhones Apple has ever sold in such a short space of time for any new iPhone release.

The first iPhone sold its first million units after 74 days. Unsurprising given that no App Store was around at this time, the product was being sold at a premium, and the iPhone hadn't been established.

The iPhone 3G sold 1 million units in 3 days.

With Apple planning to launch in a further 18 countries by the end of July, sales are expected to stay strong.

Considering it's almost a free upgrade from my previous 3G then yeah it's fantastic.. As reported the screen is amazingly clear, the camera is a huge improvement and with LED flash too. The 720p video is crisp and smooth and has to be seen to be believed. I haven't noticed any drop in signal as being reported and finally the speed difference over my 3G (running OS4) feels ten fold.

So I give it five gold stars :)
