CDMA iPhone rumored (again)

How long do you suppose it will be before Verizon realizes that because its just them and AT-AT AT&T and they realize they can both raise prices to an outrageous level.

the thing about it is that when more carriers get a phone they tend to raise the price of the phone so they can get more people to their carrier rather than the other one.

I see a difference in this case though becuause if Apple puts only a CDMA chip into this rumored phone then, it wouldn't make a difference because CDMA uses internal sim design which can't be removed and AT&T lies on gsm still.

Verizon's LTE could be sim care based but of course it would run on a different frequency than AT&T's own(probably the 500Mhz band they bought from the FCC).

So the likelyhood of seeing the phone interchangeable on both networks is pretty slim but this is just my $.02 on it

Why don't they just make the iPhone for most carriers. Make it useful with or without a SIM card, depending on the cell type and frequency usage. CDMA would work on Verizon and Sprint networks and SiM'd on AT&T and T-Mobile.

It is just time to quit this phone {censored} about "it can only work on XYZ".

well if they[Apple] were to do that then the iPhone wouldn't have such a low subsidized price it would be much higher for the consumer end. The thing I detest is that only in America you find two GSM networks and with different 3G bands whilst else where in the world GSM is pretty much the standard (excluding China's CDMA and any others). Even Apple can't force the remanning US carriers to switch from CDMA to GSM. If the iPhone is released on other carriers in the US then there will be a split in version unless 1 of 2 conditions are met

1. All carriers using LTE use the same frequency band

2. Or something "magical" happens

i think the verizon phone will be lte.. i just have a feeling it would need too.. why would verizon release a cdma phone when its going lte.. makes no sense does it?
