urgonah8me
Ok so I used to have perfect graphics in leo last time i tried it.. and in tiger... at 1st the graphics were dodgey... the right resolution and everything... but I could see gradients blocky.. as in the shades of colours each standed out.. on the leopard boxes I can see lines where the shades of grey are suposed to blend.. Its really iritating me.. (its not even that bothering but finaly i have everything else perfect except this which i used to have to its frustrating..) To fix it last time I installed a NVinjectGo kext.. i cant remember excactly which one but it worked.. So now iv tried every single one.. and it still doesnt fix this problem... can anyone help me out I will give you £15 through paypal to help me get the final piece of perfection on my laptop! Laptops gpu = geforce 7300GO (128mb dedicated ram and up to 256mb turbocache) updates : £25 reward! S.SubZero
Try disabling the turbocache thing. I don't think Macs have ever had this, thus the kexts probably don't understand it at all. Also, make sure you're using NVInject .21. I also recommend checking the NVInject forums to see if there's anything specific for your video chipset. There are some test builds (including a ".22") hidden in the forums there. nkear5
Ok my I will give that a try. I cant disable turbocache tho.. there is no option in bios to do so.I will try the NVinject 2.1 thing now have you tried searching for old build of titan or natit. They are probably extinct by now but they will be lurking somewhere. urgonah8me
tried that and i tried graphics stuff without the update too I get the same results its a really iriating problem because when going on websites ect you can see all the different shades blocky where colours should be blending.. especialy on this site.. the banner looks horendous because of it.. I cant upload a pic either to show because if i take a screeny.. then put it on my pc everything looks normal because my pc will show the blend perfect Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/96200-ok-had-enough-will-pay-%C2%A325-for-person-who-can-fix/#findComment-686866 Share on other sites
sdelano
You sure that you have your color options in display set to millions of colors? Setting it to Thousands or even 256 colors will give this same effect. -sdelano Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/96200-ok-had-enough-will-pay-%C2%A325-for-person-who-can-fix/#findComment-686874 Share on other sites
urgonah8me
yep its at millions. It is beyond me why this is happening... it just seems like anything with osx can be random and give no meaning what so ever.. one minute things will work ok for you.. the next time you try and all hell breaks loose.. cyclonefr
do you have QE/CI ? in system profiler does it report Core Image Hardware and QE Supported ? If so, IMO the bug isn't due to natit or nvinject... I smell like a hardware problem. cyclonefr
That's really weird. Did you try to put old OpenGL.Framework and old NVIDIA kexts drivers from 10.5.0 ? You can extract them from the DVD. lilSoldier
I know this might not help much, but I had this problem when I had my desktop using DVI. Only switching to using the VGA port would fix this problem. Therefore, it will probably only work flawlessly when using an external monitor using VGA. Have you tried that and noticed any difference? If so, it looks like you might have to do without pretty colours. You could also try using the "paperclip trick" that is used for the Intel laptop graphics, so your card thinks there is something in the VGA port. It's a long shot, but it's worth a try. http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/4845/cimg05567zo.jpg This is a picture of the paperclip trick if you are not able to find it on google Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/96200-ok-had-enough-will-pay-%C2%A325-for-person-who-can-fix/#findComment-686979 Share on other sites
mcdull
for new leopard update you may wish to try inserting EFI string instead of using nvinject. Just download the EFI string from http://forum.netkas.org/index.php/topic,55.0.html I am not sure if 7300go is supported but you can try 7400go. good luck. muitommy
1. you may want to try efi string 2. try this kext which is edited for 7300go, someone reported it works NVinject.kext.zip 3. this one is intended for geforce go series card.
