Just installed Zephyroth 10.5.2 Rev2 and it was first success after Tiger for me, rev1 hangs during installation. The installation though didn't run well from normal mode(frozen 39 min left) and went fine only under -x. I've got few issues now. Can boot only with -f(same on Tiger), graphic card doesn't support CI/QE(works on Tiger with same NVinject 0.2.0),DVD not reading, Itunes not playing from Ipod(Usb is working) or CD,Lan not working(didn't install any 3rd party drvrs),no sound. Looks funny. What is working then? Didn't have all those issues under Jas 10.4.8. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

And my complex spec:

Hp XW9300

Tyan K8WE mobo(Nforce4) with havily modified Bios 2.09 from Hp,

2xOpteron 252(2.6 Hgz) SSE3 support

4gb DDR 3200ram,

Works beautifly except for 2 issues.

1. SMB shares aren't connectable, in fact, any url typed into command k in finder fails with the "malformed Url" message (not that big of a deal as i can use smbclient on the command line.

2. using the included Nvidia drivers/ktexts, I can't get qe/ working. What gives? :) I have a geforce 7900gt and have tried the device ID method with no luck. Anyone have any other ideas?

How do you use the smbclient at the command line?

Hello, I have recently download "Leopard-10.5.2-AMD-EFI-Rev2.iso" and burned it at 2x. I have a hp dv6748us laptop, you can find the specifications here: http://google3-cnet.com.com/laptops/hp-pav....html?tag=specs

When I boot from the dvd, I get the usual apple symbol and the loading, however, after a few minutes I get a little cross over the apple sign and it continues to load but will not launch the installer. When you boot with -v I get a "still waiting for root device" error, which repeats itself every few minutes. Here are some pictures:

Yes, I followed the directions, and burned my zephyroth disc. When I insert it and press enter, I get one of those cross, things on top of the gray apple screen. Right Now I'm trying a new AppleNforceAta.kext, like I was told on another forum, I'll tell you the results.

Hey ka911 I tried injecting AppleNforceAta.kext, and that didn't work it gives me about the same errors, It says something about sleep mode and then says still waiting for root device. Can you think of anything?

I'm using the zephyroth 10.5.2 rev. 2 disc btw.

ok! you are saying that you have installed Leopard on your PC right? and you have problem to boot to Leopard? and when you restart you PC to boot to your Leo it give you "waiting for root device" error?

download my attached file (AppleNForceATA.kext) the easy way I will do it by boot to windows and install MacDrive 7, then go to your Leopard HD and unzip AppleNForceATA.kext in System/Library/Extensions

and after you unzip the AppleNForceATA folder delete extensions.kext cache files then reboot and hit F8 then type -v -x then Enter

AppleNForceATA.kext.zip

how do you have you Hardware set? do you have your DVD as Master or Slave? if so try to change it from Master to slave (for PC) and your HD from Slave to Master and run the Leo installation DVD again!
