I can't really test it myself, I don't use OSx86 (I know the copying works, but I didn't want to screw up my system will a full-on test). I have Leopard 10.5.2 (Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD Intel_Amd) I want to update it to 9.2.2 but the Kernel Installer can't find my Leopard Kernel, I can see it under Leopard but I can't selected! any idea? To restore it you would go into the F8 boot prompt and enter the backed up kernel name and hit enter (e.g mach_kernel.backup) Once it boots you can use the kernel installer to restore your old kernel. Use Pacifist to extract the System.kext from one of those packages and install it. Thanks pcwiz (I'm sure you're way to busy to be going back to all your previous threads to add this link, but I do think it's well worth shouting about. ;-) Of course having a link in your signature is also a good way to get us there (that's how I found it).
