gecko
I've tried to use the installers for Macromedia Flash. No matter which browser I use (camino, deerpark, or safari) the flash pluggin will not load. Anyone have it working? Did you do anything special? jduteau
The Safari plugin will not work at this time because it can't use the PPC extensions. The shockwave plugin needs to be made as an Intel extension for it to work. Firefox will work however. TA_Superman
Flash and Java will only work in Safari if you set it to run in Rosetta (PPC). This is assuming you have SSE3 or SSE2+Patches. Just locate it in finder and right click on Safari then check Run in Rosetta. Runs pretty fast. I also recommend you Google SafariSpeed. It made a noticeable difference in speed in my opinion. Cherry
I've stayed with Opera as default browser. It's a PPC-App, so no problems with flash. But no-go with Java, gives me an "error creating java vm". So i'll have to stick with safari for java-sites, no big problem. Proteo
Well... I have something odd to report. I checked flash to open with QuickTime and I'm getting some, just some, flash movies to play in Safari in "intel mode". I don't know why some work and other don't, but may be due to the player version used to compile the movies. Anyway, at least it's a good way to stop that annoying warning messages from Safari when browsing sites that use flash. To do it, open Quick Time, Preferences -> Mime Types (or something similar, I'm not on Mac ATM) and check Flash. CapAmerica
That works great. Don't have to worry about flash any more for now. I can now wait for Macrome... Adobe to release a version of the Flash Plug-in that works in OSX x86. reedog117
Okay... I'm running into a weird problem. Java applets load for me when I run Safari in x86 mode, and Flash works for me when I run in Rosetta. How can I get both to work in one mode? When I'm running using Rosetta, Java applets just show up as a coffee cup with arrows around it, but nothing ends up happening.
