is your hdd connected to usb ?

and do you wait long enough after iokit error? bcoz after iokit, it loads gui in about 30 secs.. also most importantly, what nvinject value are you using? and which card? bcoz u have one 256 mb card and one 512 mb card... I dont understand what you are really doing...

I used the 512Mb 9600GT and chose 512Mb.

It sat on this screen for 30min.

I'll try again tonight with the 8600GT card and run the installer pkg again choosing 256Mb.

The HDD is SATA and is connected that way. Nothing is connected to USB other than keyboard and mouse which work fine. 10.5.1 is running ok and bootable.

@vash: it s same kernel, yes,(note: #92 was speedstep kernel sorry, this is not speedstep!, this is sleep kernel, but i dont know on how many nforce chipsets it works well)...

It seems to work well for me. It's the first time that sleep works here. I'm asking myself if this kernel could fix even my problem with Wacom tablet (I'm a totally newbe about what kernel really is/do).

@zonker: than your 9600 gt is not supported try the other card you have with the right nvinject... for the usb, you have something in usb i dont know what but it is showing problem there... i hope you didnt choose anything for usb on my update installer?

@maripucci: check your pm

@vash, it most likely can solve but, tablet pc may have problem with heat, since this is not speedstep, it may use your cpu at at its original clocks which will make it to run a bit hot... but you can give it a try...

@jvcox: restart with the usb stick placed....

Sorry, maybe I haven't express myself very well. I was talking about my Intuos Tablet from wacom (it cause some system issue).

testing it on your system is your problem, bcoz this is nforce topic, i dont think your tablet has nforce chipset?

so what you need is find out your chipset most likely ide/sata controllers first... if they are supported, most likely you can get other things to work one by one if you try...

@jvcox: stop posting every other minute with useless stuffs... you need to format your hdd before you start installation i said it already in the guide! did u read it all??...

sry yes i did read it (5 times) but its still saying unable to mount my usb drive (disk2s1) that why i'm asking alot of stuff

did you format your usb hdd/flash as fat32? if it doesnt help, than try another usb stick or simple burn the files to a cd and try it from cd...

ok I format my usb fat32 no dice, then tryed a new one also nothing. Now how am i going use a cd when i have only one cd/dvd drive.??

oh god, you are real problem, on windows burn the files you downloaded to a cd and boot osx and use the files u burned to the cd? what is your problem i dont understand?

so thats where we fail to see eye to eye osx never install on my computer it allways locks up doing install. and i use a pata hdd and dvd drive but it still don't work so i'm not just being a a****** for nothing lol.

you are using a usb dvd... and it is not working well on your system (check error messages), most likely the reason why you cant install os x... get a pata dvdrom or writer... and try it that way... also raptor hdd may have trouble with bootloader as well...

do you really have the r3?

also did u really install the osx or it locks up installing? which means u dont have os x yet? explain the situation properly! what you did what do you have? (also why da heck using usb DVD?) a screen shot would be helpful...

or

you installed it but cant update it to 10.5.2?

bcoz you are missing lots of information...

explain everything step by step so we can understand the situation... screen caps would be very helpful if u boot with -v so we can see the errors you are talking about....

Ok here goes.

I'm using a pata dvd drive, no error messages its just boots up fine we i push f8 and -v. I get to the welcome hit continue. Then continue agree. Then i pick my hdd(sata) continue ag then Customize. I pick the ones you have in your pic one the first page. I added vga nvidia nv 256. hit install. about 2 mins into it everything locks. I have to get a raptor hdd i was using an a pata hdd i had in my old computer. Yes i have r3 I download it from the links you send me.

Is there anything el you need to know to help me. Thxs in Aav.

Mysticus thank you.

I installed the update package following directions and choosing nforce efi kernel, system.kext, correct video and the basics. I also installed the new nForce ATA. (still issues with SATA drive. mounts images but "falls asleep"). Learned the SATA DVD was the source of audio issue. Onboard HD sound now works out of box.

I have no idea what 440X is so I didn't install it. What is it?

I got all USB ports now working out of box :(

Boots nicely too (little long but stable install)

I installed a PCI card (TRENDnet working out of box w/o driver/patch) for LAN.

and I made sure to fix permissions BEFORE rebooting. Were a lot that needed fixing.

Thanks again.

I have a SATA DVD Issue in Leopard(iAtkos ir3)...

I install from an IDE DVD drive on my SATA HDD with no glitches. My problem is that i want to use my SATA DVD drive once the installation is done and remove the temporary IDE drive.

The DVD drive is seen by Leopard in the System Profiler and also listed under the SATA Devices. When i insert a data DVD or movie in the drive, it doesn't mount and hang with the spinning wheel(of not fortune). If i don't insert a DVD i can click the eject button on the top bar next to the clock and it works no problem. It even list the DVD Drive brand etc. It's when i put a DVD in there that the fun stop.

On the other hand, The IDE DVD drive works perfectly...

BTW: I tried 2 different brand thinking it could be a compatibility issue but it does the same same on both.)

Here's what i install in the customize Tab in the iAtkos installer:

- Bootloader EFI Bootloader + StockACPIPlatform.kext

- All Patches

- All Useful tools

I hope anybody has any idea on what the problem might be, thanks in advance.

OS: Win XP / iAtkos 1.0ir3 10.5.1

Mobo: Asus Striker Extreme(Nforce 680i )

Cpu: Q6600 2.40ghz

Ram: 4x 1 GB Corsair @800mhz

HDD SATA: 1 x 150 GB RAPTOR / 1 x 500 GB MAXTOR(working)

I have a issue with my Pata DVD in iAtkos r3.

I get "Still Waiting for Root Device" (When I try to enter in the installer), but I've disconected my SATA HDD and I still getting "Still Waiting for Root device" msg.

I have disconected my sata and my pata, still the same.

My SATA DVD is recognized by the system and mounts the image but seems to fall asleep right after. I'm using the new MeDevil driver but it didn't help.

people with sata dvd issues, for god sake please read the guide properly... there is known problem with sata dvds and some high speed hdds... nothing to do with iatkos or anyone but the nforce ata driver! Read the damn guide and posts!!!

There is no official nforce ata (pata/sata) driver!!!! The only one that exists comes from MeDevil, and thanks to his efforts... If you have any problem regarding these nforce ata problems, please, i m begging you pls, go to his topic in the forum, and ask him and help him test his drivers....

@jvcox: did u format your hdd in the disk utility before you go to installer as I explained the in guide on post #2? did you choose osx journaled partition for your os x installation? you re one hell of a problem mate, get a slower hdd and get a ide DVD and not USB dvd!!!

@marvguitar: what did u choose on the custom window of installer, to install again? where did u see on my guide i choosed stockacpi? how many patches did u choose? what patches did u choose? also for gfx cards you may need to update to 10.5.2... many new gfx cards started to work with 10.5.2 drivers...

@rice: your problem is that you are on an older nforce chipset (nforce 4 series) and your problem can be solved in other places on the forum, amd is not on the support list of my topic, it may or may not work it is your choice to find out yourself, but there may be a lot more things to know for amds (which i dont know)... for you i would suggest you to go to find the DVD something called zephyroth amd 10.5.2 DVD or something like that search the forum...

good luck...

people with sata dvd issues, for god sake please read the guide properly...

I installed it with the EFI Bootloader + StockACPIPlatform.kext and every single patch available in the iAtkos ir3. I then updated to 10.5.2 with the Kalyway comboUpdater and applied his Kernel fix (Modbin).

I tried the AppleNforceATA.kext but nothing happened, same problem...

As for my videocards, they are still not working even after applying the 10.5.2 update, i get a Panic on reboot, it says it has something to do with the NVDAResman.kext which i modified with the right DevID. When i install the Nvinject034 package i select the Macbookpro kext+vanilla+640MB, the computer hang right there in Leopard.

If i manually copy my modified NVDAResman.kext in the Extension folder it hangs as well and i have to hard reset my computer...

Oh, Thank You, Mysticus.

But, Please, Could you tell me where I find any related solution? I'm a really noob on hackintosh.

(Once time, it runnd here, on my pc, but couldn't find my keyboard, so it doesn't enter in the installer, later, it never runned again)

I Can't Stand it, on my sister computer it runs perfectly, and she have a crappy Foxconn (SIS 661 Based) motherboard!, but it can't find the Hard Drive, so I can't install on her pc (...).

What should I do to make her HD "run" on OS X installer?

Thank you, anyway!

@rice: please learn to use the search button on the forum... here is the link and dont ask anymore question regarding your system as i dont know anything about it...

@marvguitar: did u ever read my guide on post#2? where did u see in this topic suggestion stock acpi? and where did u see that all the patches has to be choosen? are you a noob? or a newbie? bcoz u act like a noob not reading anything?

I think you meshed up your entire system with tons of wrong stuffs...

...

7-) now run the kalyway update first

8-) kalyway finished? dont restart yet

...

Should I install the kalway update the normal way or should I follow the steps described in post #92?
