chevy2410
If your mobo has pci-E slot then I would recommend any Nvidia 7xxx series cards. I personally just bought a 7300GT and it works great. No issues at all. They are pretty cheap as well. TurdFergasun
using a used 1950pro/modded to xt speeds i picked up a few months ago for $100, works perfect with bronya's driver patch, and will smoke those cards OSX/dindows. not tryin to start a flame war, just giving more possible options, alot of ppl gettin rid of 1950's for dirt cheap going to DX10 stuff. even new they're fairly cheap now pro/xt both wicked cards for the buck, and both work awesome in osx86. Redliner
I don't mean to impose, but are any of those Graphics cards 100% native supported? Are there any? It must be PCIe. Bob The King
Would this card be suitable? It's $138 http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(17586)Gigaby...3-PCIE-DVI.aspx Seems a little pricey in comparison to the 8xxx models Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85744-what-graphic-card-for-leopard-osx86/#findComment-609455 Share on other sites

Redliner
But seriously, Are there any 100% Native Graphics cards? (not even nvinject needed) it must be PCIe as well. According to the wiki hardware thread the 8800GT from 2 different companies works 100% native...but they didn't distinguish the card model. Redliner
SO what's this about many of the 7xxx series Geforce cards performing better than the 8xxx series cards? is there any eveidence. Has anyone benchmarked their Graphics cards to see what's working best? I think that Nvidia seems to have the easiset support, but I am open to ATI as well. seems like the best GPU's are the 8800GT's and the 7300GT's. again I am looking for 100% native, but might use NVinstaller. TurdFergasun
i can't see there being much point in leaving integrated graphics for an entry level ie. 7300 or 2400. not worth the effort IMO. Check out anything at least mid level thats supported well in the HCL on the OSx86 wiki. SilverZero
Just my experience, but my PCI-E XFX 7600GT worked out of the box, all resolutions, QE/CI, and it's sweet. Using Kalyway 10.5.1 with an Abit IP-35, C2D E8400. TurdFergasun
redlines, hardware in sig. kalyway 10.5.1 w/thestevo 4.0. efi/no vanilla, but that is mobo specific and has nothing to do with video card functions. btw usually it's normal to quote things that are actually relevant to your post. sorry to bump a finished thread. good luck with your new card man!
