hork
Alright thanks! Also, would I be best off buying this or one with Dual 455 MHz PowerPC G4 processors?
Colonel
Alright thanks! Also, would I be best off buying this or one with Dual 455 MHz PowerPC G4 processors? The dual 455 wont even run Leopard, so you might as well stick with the single core one.
GTR-33
The Quicksilver will work, but keep in mind you will have to do some hacking on any Mac with a processor speed under 867MHz. Otherwise when you put the disk in the installer will say that the computer is incompatible and won't let you install.
A Nonny Moose
The dual 455 wont even run Leopard, so you might as well stick with the single core one. It can with a bit of work but it will be sluggish and very illegal (please remove link if it violates the rules)
four!
It's easier than you think... All you do is install it on a Leopard on a PPC Mac that supports it. Get a firewire iPod and use Carbon Copy to make an exact copy of your leopard drive Boot off the iPod and you have Leopard running Then use Carbon Copy to clone it back to you internal drive.. Thats how I got Leopard running on my unsupported G4

Colonel
It'll run faster than a G3, but slower than a G5.
