apowerr
Pay the extra bucks and get the ATI 3850. I know Netkas has some beta kexts for it. lionskin
Try a GF 7300GT 256 or 512 MB for osx, it should work pretty well. mac Pro uses this card. I have a FX 5200 working great so far, but I will be getting a 7300 after some extensive research. 996gt2
Spend a little more for the 8800GT 256MB if you want Nidia and want to play some games in Windows too. This card is very fast for the price and can play very demanding games like Oblivion with AA on at resolutions up to 1600x1200 with 30+ FPS. If you do not care about playing games then basically any low-end Nvidia card will do. flibblesan
8500GT is not supported. Only 8 series supported are 8600 and 8800GTS/GTX Almost any 7 series works fine. I'm using a 7300GT, but the 7600 and 7800 work ok also. socal swimmer
I have an XFX 7600 GT 256MB, fully working out of box. it was 75, so maybe that is too low.... 7900 should work. try a few searches (use the search engine in my signature) maybe 7900 GT (or GTX?), 7950 GT.... cipherworld
I have XFX 7300GT 512MB but I can't get it work with CI/QE. Tried NVinject and Leovidia kext but no success (Vanilla kernal). flibblesan
512mb 7300gt cards seem problematic. I know that 256mb cards work fine. I believe that you have to flash the bios on 512mb cards so the bootloader correctly detects the ram. This was mentioned on the nvinject website.
