Thank you!

Now system starts and I can fight with other problems :D

My SATA and wifi works for me and I've got big battle with my ATI x1600 mobilty.

 

Any ideas how to reinstall it from External USB HDD to my HDD? (Remember that in DVD installer I can't see my Sata drive)

I do not know if 5 command lines is too much work for you, but all is almost like a shot in the floor lol. If it is,do not do it put your disc and try this with only one line lol :rolleyes:

3. cp -rp /path/to/new/AppleNForceATA.kext /"Your ISO File"/System/Library/Extensions/IOATAFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns

4. chown -R root:wheel /"Your ISO File"/System/Library/Extensions/IOATAFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleNForceATA.kext

I have successfully installed MAC OS Leopard 10.5.1. Below are my following PC Spec:

 

AMD 64 3000+ 2Ghz SSE2 Processor

Gigabyte K8NS Motherboard Socket 754

Kingston DDR400 1GB

WDC 160GB Sata2

ATI Radeon 9550SE

LG 20x IDE DVD Writer

10.5.1 isn't compatible with ALL PC hardware. Trying to install to nforce chipsets with SATA drives is also a known problem for Zephy's first release. Sounds like it should work better with "version 2" - but you'll have to wait a little longer for that. I couldn't get 10.5.1 to install on my Compaq laptop (and it has an IDE hard drive!) either... (well... there IS one way, but it involves an external USB HD and installing 10.5.1 using a different computer, THEN booting the laptop off the external HD... It's not for the faint-of-heart...)

 

Since tubgirls 10.4.10 (medevil kexts) there are no more issues, SATA on nforce works out of the box, so Zeph's release is good to go.

well, i replaced the mach_kernel file in Zephyroth's DVD with the kernel for SSE2, and now i can install Leopard, at least the Graphical Install works...

 

the bad thing is that the install process freezes on "7 minutes to finish". Today i'm going to test this solution http://osx86.wikidot.com/known-issues#toc0 to see if i can pass this problem...

 

if anyone wants this file, please PM to me and i will send it...

Well I happen to receive a panic for botht he geforce and NVDAResman. I am at work so I can't take a screen shot of it but here is what card i got.

 

PNY VCG7300GXPB GeForce 7300GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 SLI

 

Not sure if that information helps but thats all i can get till i get home. Any help would be cool and i would appreciate it. I am some what a noob when it comes to this {censored}.

I installed leopard and upon reboot i receive the kernel panic. I am not sure what to do or what to inject or even how to inject it sense i can't boot the os properly.

We are still waiting...Thank you guys for all your efforts. Zephyroth did a great work, and also I know that among others,you are. I am really anxious to test this release!. I will be testing on another machine too when this come up...Cheers! lol :D

So you've come to make us all very jealous then? :P Kidding!

 

Does EFI come on the DVD as an auto-install or optional install, or is it still manual? Sorry if this has been asked a million times - I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the search feature of this site lately :D

 

Anyway, you guys are doing great work! Hope to see it soon :)

update

f X --->(X is the number of the partition where you installed Leopard)

w

q

reboot

 

but the first command says...

 

sudo: command not found

 

i started with DVD and -x -v -s flags

 

what i'm doing wrong ?

dont use the sudo :)

ok, new problem....:whistle:

 

i solve the problem of the account creation with this steps from buckhole:

 

Start your pc and press F8, here ask to start in single user mode :

to do that, write >-s and press enter

Your osx start in console mode.

Here, start to check hard drive >/sbin/fsck -fy and press enter

Osx scan you pc and does to answer you : File system was modified.

After we does to mount all drives >/sbin/mount -uw / and press enter ; Dont forget the "/" it ask to mount all drives

Them, now we does to active and creat password for the root account >passwd root

The system ask for a new pass : enter it and confirm an other time when asking (press enter each time).

 

Now we does to do something to notify to osx that we have end the Setup. >touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone and press enter (Don't forget the "." before Apple).

And now you could restart >reboot and press enter

 

Now don't touch anything, osx boot and ask you to log in wink_anim.gif

Enter : log : root

and the pass you have choose before.

 

but now when i log in with my user and pass or root user, Leopard shows me the Desktop, the dock and then it goes a black screen and then display again the login window and then it freezes there...

 

anyone had this problem ?

I know someone with your same problems and it was due to his video card...Did you get any panic at boot?.Did you remove any kext?.

yes, i had the panic at boot, and i remove the geforce and nvidia kexts, and then tested with that, and produces the error i described, and then i thought that could be due to the lack of video drivers and then installed NVinject kext but the problems remains the same...
