At least .... Someone who help me to make this DVD more compatible !

Thanks GIPO ! I'm adding this kexts now !

All others you MUST do the same !

Tell me which devices you want and give me the kexts that work for you !

if you look closer to the screenshot ...

AC97 Audio is the same that in the first DVD

Nobody has tested it ?

Hi Zeph,

My video was working fine with nvinject 0.1.3, but I decided to give it a go for fun (lol). Results attached, both screens are still working fine. My card is an 8800gts with 640mb of video ram, so the 768mb quoted is high, but I think 0.1.3 was doing the same thing. nvinject020.tiff

Your Final Installation Screen didn't mention AC97 sound, but I assume it will be supported?

I'm eagerly awaiting a LAN Freeze Fix,

almost as much as I'm awaiting an iPhone 1.1.2 OOB Unlock, but that's another story... heh.

I don't get any more freezes!! The answer is so simple that you won't believe..

Just make sure you put your ethernet card's ID to ALL the .plist's in forcedeth kext! (including those in resources folder). I've got my system working great for two days (I wanted to make sure if it permanently workin), now I can without any problem download files from High Bandwith servers, without freezes!

@zeph:

Do you know where I can find my Ethernet Card Device ID in OS X?

The System Profiler doesn't seem to display it anywhere. Thanks!

also can be seen by Windows:

e.g.

my device ID is 0x005710DE

"Computer Management" -> "Device manager"

-> "Network adapters" -> "NetWorking Controller Properties"

-> "Details" -> "Property: Hardware Ids"

Zephyrot...

asus m2n32 has two sata controllers on board. One is the mcp55 inside nforce5. This one it's a real pain in the ass for "us" it's working very bad on Hackintosh, better to use only in read mode (well, this is the reason i can't install your first release, i can only read with it, and sil3132 was not visible on installation disk). The other controller, is a raid sata (sil3132) work perfectly (i have tiger on it).

Just as an information... i'm testing right now a driver for the second Lan onboard (Gigabit LAN Controller PHY: Marvell 88E1116) but it's working not really well... worked on first restart but now it's dead again.

i attach kext and info... discussion is on http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=73317&hl=

I will try try to install rev.2 into my AMD PC. However I'v never installed Leopard on my system before so can't help in making rev.2 more compatible. However if you can have anything useful from my configuration, here it is:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3200+, Venice, Instruction: MMX(+), 3DNow(+), SSE, SSE2, SSE3, x86-64.

Motherboard: MSI NVIDIA nForce 4 Ultra Chipset Based K8N Neo4

Graphic Card: nVIDIA GeForce 6600 256MB

Sound: Realtek AC'97 Audio

Network adapters: 1394 Net Adapter, 3Com Etherlink Server 10/100 PCI (3C980C-TXM), NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller

As I understand from reading forum I can expect problems with networking. And what Hard Drive would you recomend for this Leopard installation?

Thanks :P

Thanks Gipo .

I already tested the ethernet driver for Marvell and reading the thread about it but it doesn't seem to be very stable at the moment so I don't think it will be included in Rev.2.

I think the freezes are not only related to forcedeth but to its dependencies too because using forcedeth with original IONetworkingFamily on Rev.2 it doesn't freeze anymore ...

I will try with IONetworkingFamily modified to stop the "error 35" and see if it still freeze ... or not.

Thanks for your great work Zephyrot...

Ethernet was working only on first reboot after installation of kext... then nothing to do.. 2, 3, 4 reboots with unplugs and always dead.

So i think it's better go on with my usb option (i'm lucky that my router has both interfaces ethernet and usb so i use this one in osx).

Waiting for your second release and if it's working for me i wait you for a drink... :)

My System runs 100% perfectly now, thank you raphael_x.

No more LAN Freezes, finally.

You're Welcome. I'm glad it's working for You as well. I've been loosing my nerves with that fu...reaking freeze. I had no idea it would be that simple :)

My wishes:

- Marvin AMD Utility (essential for AMD users)

- Spanish.pkg (Spanish language support)

- AppleAzaliaAudio

- Forcedeth-nockd (for 0x03EF10DE). I attach it.

Thank you for your effort!

@zephyroth:

I have a different IONetworking kext, a different kernel (Darwin Kernel Version 9.0.0),

as well as a different nForce 4 Forcedeth.kext with my custom ethernet devid.

It works nicely like this.

Thanks to roisoft for a lot of kexts, btw.

I see a lot of peoples asking how to change default 1024x768 resolution to 1280x1024 in case of problem with installing of an appropriate videodriver. My case is the same - AMD690G chipset with integrated video ATI x1250 and I did not find working videodriver to get full video effects. I am very new in OSx86, but for Leopard 10.5.1 (Zephyroth) it is very simple to do as i found. You should just change (or add) a couple strings to file /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist (if your display supports 1280x1024 of course)

<key>Graphics Mode</key>

<string>1280x1024x32</string>

I did it under Linux and got 1280x1024 resolution after reboot to Leopard. System fonts look very poor (seems like Windows fonts without ClearType). Videoeffects are absent at all, but it not disappoint me too much because i have never seen Mac's OS before :D

I also can't boot the Leopard hard drive after install, Kernel Panic over looks like video card. Can someone tell me how to boot the Leopard installatin with the DVD?MSI nf4 ultra PlatinumAMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ (939)2GB PC3200 400mhz Dual Channel DDR/SDRAM Asus en8800gts 649mb video card2x SataII 329, 120 GB 2x ATA 200, 120 GB
