U.C.
I am used to using cool edit on my windows machine. could u please point me out to a good audio editor on OSX. Will Final Cut Studios Soundtrack pro do the job??? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7265-good-audio-editor/ Share on other sites
autoy
Yep, Soundtrack pro is a very good audio editor but you have other options to check out. Bias Peak is a good alternative and if you want to go freeware for basic editing just download Audacity. Tek_No
At first look DSP-Quattro is also a great package Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7265-good-audio-editor/#findComment-45316 Share on other sites
U.C.
i tried dsp-quattro but u have to import each file as aiff format. Most of my work is in mp3. mostly cell phone ringtones. Just need basic stuff. like fadein fadeout, amplifier, wave editing etc. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7265-good-audio-editor/#findComment-45333 Share on other sites
Mr. Bond
If you only need fad-in/fade-out, and basic stuff like that, wouldn't something like Garageband just do the job? I dont really have much experience using it, but correct me If I'm wrong... bilditup1
I'm a big fan of Audacity, on Windows and Mac. Give it a try, it's on sourceforge. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7265-good-audio-editor/#findComment-47913 Share on other sites

Mr. Bond
Rapishare blows....honestly. Trying to download multi-part files off rapidshare is hell, since you have to wait so long between downloads... And yeah...Audacity is quite nice!
