Did you use the right one? It's not the original Natit but that one that was modified around 15 Nov 2007 by Paulicat just for GMA 950 and X3100 laptops (and should be used with the original AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer). If not, you can get one following the link from my signature.

I may need better instructions. I placed the natit following your link. OS states that it cannot use it and I should re-install it.

Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself, but... first try with installing and loading, and LEOPARD WORKS! :D

any ideas please help?

For new laptops with intel 965 chips it's so easy to install x3100 with iATKOS first release and nearly perfect except audio phone jack and microphone that doesn't work.

When you install Leo don't remove thermal kekt because your CPU will hot above 80!

my laptop is Compaq Presario C712TU and it's run so smooth

although it's only Core Duo 1.46GHz. 15.4" with 2 Giga Rams

and iATKOS detect 144 shre Video Rams

Oh! another problems is sleep mode after installed don't forget to disable energy saver in system preferences. I use laptop like desktop so i don't need sleep mode.

I found the original post here. This is what I used to fix my GMA 950 laptop.

Does anyone know, why Leopard can't recognize my SATA controller? I have 945GCMX-S2 (F4 BIOS) and using iATKOS 1.0i version of Leopard.

Thanks

Greetings,

Igor

I had that problem and the only I fixed it was putting the SATA in SATA1 (not SATA0) and setting the BIOS to use "Combined" Now if you could tell me how your BIOS is setup to get 1333mHZ, it would be greatly appreciated. Mine hangs at boot when I set it that way. You may want to turn the "OC" option off to see if the install sees your SATA controller.

I've just enabled OC1333MHz option, nothing else. Try to disable OC option and put the FSB on 333MHz and voltage to 1,35V, and report what happens. I have also disabled 3 options, which automatic low down the frequency and voltage of your CPU, according to system use. I think, that you can find them in "Advanced BIOS features" menu. All 3 of them are listed together, so it isn't hard to find it. If you will have any troubles finding those options, let me know and I'll picture where they are for you.

Good deal, I'll give it a go when I get home tonight. Have you tried turning off the OC and seeing if it sees your SATA?

SATA works like a charm now, when I turned off OC1333MHz option. Thank you! (now I'll have to reinstall my OS X)

EDIT1: Interesting... If I manually set FSB to 333MHz, SATA doesn't work anymore.

EDIT2: SATA2 does work with manually set FSB to 320MHz with Memory multiplier set to 2x.

EDIT3: All works even with multiplier set to 2,5x. I'll picture my settings, when I fresh install it.

Grats! Yup, sounds the same for me it seems. I'm thinking of picking up a E4500 to fill the gap and put the E6550 back into my Vista machine for now. Or, use a IDE drive...who knows. Post ur settings, much appreciated.

@Racko

if u turned off the OC1333...does it support ur E6750(1333FSB ryt?)..hows ur processor running after turning off the oc1333..can u post ur all bios settings?

I'm required to run mine with OC off (1066) on my E6550 (7x266). My BIOS settings with OC enabled were posted earlier in the thread.

Hey CMMA seems nobody is replying to our problem, but I've done a bit more digging about and have found another thread on this forum that might help, its http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=73524 and its for AMD architecture. I had the Kalyway disk with the patch too but I'm downloading the version this thread used, look for "Leopard 10.5.1 for AMD SSE2/SSE3 (32bits)" using google and it should be the 1st return.

Hope this is some help to ya and we get the ficon13.gifkin' thing working

Reporting of an SUCCESSFUL install of an Mac OS X 'Leopard 10.5' operating system from BrazilMAC's DVD.

I get additional files from this topic, made things described in this instruction (actually i have an PC-EFI v8 installed, HD partitioned with GUID), by now i have inly two mod's over BrazilMAC DVD: AppleSMBIOS.kext replaced and dsmos.kext added. No kernel's replacements.

Info about my system main components:

1. 1x Gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2 motherboard (i945 chipset, GMA950 integrated graphics, some audio codec, Realtec gigabit LAN, 2 memory sockets, 1 PCIe x16, 1 PCIe x4, 2 PCI slots)

2. 1x Socket 775 2MB L2 cache 800 MHz Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz processor

3. 2x 512 MB 667 MHz DDR2 DIMM from Hynix

4. 1x WDC IDE (PATA) 80 GB hard drive

5. 1x Optiarc IDE (PATA) DVD recorder

PS: Devices status:

1. GMA950 works out of box with QE supported, CI hardware accelerated, but no resolution change

EDIT: Please pint me to a patch or technique to get res change on GMA950, please.

2. LAN works out of box.

3. Sound does not work, system preferences hangs while trying to demonstrate speech engine.

EDIT: Sound fixed with AzaliaSound.mpkg

4. USB, IDE, SATA is working.

PS: How do i check that i have original Mac OS kernel? Everybody talks about 'vanilla' and 'patched', i have one from DVD, actually i do not know what kernel do i have, (except that fact that i tried to install BrazilMAC at work same method and have an infinite reboot cycle because i have an Pentium 4 D at work, but not Core 2 Duo. and i read from this forum that unmodified kernel work only with Core 2 Duo processors).

PPS: Sorry for my bad English.

EDIT: Just updated to 10.5.1 with software update from internet. Everything still working.

UPDATE: first install was killed by trying to get GMA950 working. Reinstall and get Radeon X1600 from sapphire - working almost perfectly (no DVI output, no dual monitor support) with Natit and no binary patches (i have found that dev id ven1002 dev71C2 is also supported by kext's binary, all you need is to add this dev id to ATIRadeonX1000.kext plist!)

1. GMA950 works out of box with QE supported, CI hardware accelerated, but no resolution change :D

EDIT: Please pint me to a patch or technique to get res change on GMA950, please.

Check this out, I did it from my running install. Kudos to "Riot"

Hi folks who know so many things

Please help me find the right thread! I want to successfully run the Onetrack Perfect Install, so i got the brazilmac dvd and the kalyway format cd and efi 5.

BUT - I currently run an XP MediaCentreEdition computer (intel conroe), and want to still use XP MCE mainly. So the Mac partition should be the second one and non primary one, preferrably. (I only have One hd, and it's SATA)

SO, I started this guide, i made a Mac OSX partition after the NTFS one (with kalyway cd), and then tried the Brazilmac disk - and then I couldn't boot into windows without F8ing the mac login, which said "boot into foreign OS" (that's windows).

Next, the brazilmac loading Failed, stopped on the grey apple logo with the spinning loading thing at the start. There was a "not allowed" icon above the grey apple logo. I should have typed -v -s and stuff, but I panicked and aborted and I messed up my partition table and killed windows so I reinstalled windows, and surrendered.

So is what I want really possible or it isn't? I tried the Dual Booting sticky thread here, but it talks about XP 64 which I don't have and GUID which i don't understand. please don't delete this until you tell me what else to search for? Thanks mates!
