Oh silly Apple. And I had my hopes up. Now that MacVidia is not doing anything either we really are SOL for as long of a time as it take Apple/Nvidia to decide we are worthy of the drivers.

Man, none of us is "worthy" for the drivers because Intel iMacs do not use nVidia boards. Why should I put a rocket booster on a car, because it will never use it (of course, there are exceptions, as we've seen on darwin awards :) )

There really aren't any additions in the 10.4.4 drivers. I stand by my assumption that we won't see any until the towers come in Intel flavour, as only those will have a possibility of seeing nvidia.

indeed. until we either see intel using the geforce go processors (which is 110% unlikely) or the pci-e cards being put into towers, we dont' have much hope in the way of nvidia.

btw, this is my first post using OSX..

anyone know why there's a stuttering every like 4 seconds.

im using an overclocked opteron 165 running at 2.5 ghz at stock volts, so it cant be a heat issue. and my pc runs fine like this. im thinknig its a driver issue.. maybe sound or nvidia once again =/

will i get better performance outta my onboard video sharing 8mb of video. Or using the 128mb of the mx4000? It recognizes as 128mb in the graphics display options. I tried installing the macvidia kext, but there was no change bc there was no ID under mx4000.

The real reason I am asking is for when I get my PCI-E 7800GTx back from RMA

What we need is the NVIDIADriver plug-in that is normally present in the AppleNDRV.kext. Since the NDRV* drivers present in 10.4.4 have definitely been updated (their version strings are newer than the recent 10.4.4 PPC update), Apple seems to have been compiling it all, but intentionally leaving out the last missing bundle.
