badkidforum
Behran ur solution is so simple. 1. Boot with ur DVD .. the setup thing not the OSX on HDD. 2. Wen ut comes to welcome screen goto Terminal. 3. then writer there ...... cd usr cd misc ./script.sh ' Partition Name ' mine was Leopard. you should specify the partition name correct Run the script 2 times atleast .. bcoz for me running it 1 time dint worked. Reboot .... get ur DVD out .. ur ready to boot from HDD directly. ur can boot 2 Mac. Dual Boot :::: using some boot CD ( hirens of MSDOS disk ) set active ur XP Partition. get 'tboot' from here http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...st&id=34364 put that to ur System root drive XP. open boot.ini with text .. n add " c:\tboot = " OS X Leopard " save the file exit n reboot .... u'll get an option on boot time to boot in XP n OSX .... Hope everything works real good. n enjoy Reply if worked. . . @ behran. U have 2 HDD's 1. TEST HDD 2. HDD with 5 Partitions. On Ur Test HDD .. i think the leopard will be on 1st partition. diskX01 -- x = 1 / 2 n on ur 5 Partition HDD the on first partition there 'll be XP. .. n on 2nd there shud b leopard ' a general approach' Ur saying that u can boot from ur TEST hdd ... not the other one. Read Carefully. 1 . Only for Test HDD : Boot with the ToHLeox86 RC2 DVD. Run the script as stated above. n reboot ... what it 'll do ???? this 'll make a MBR entry for the diskX01 ( 1st partition ) .. also write the switches to com.apple.boot.plist ( somewhat same name ) to boot from partition 1. ---------------- THIS 'll make it directly boot from TEST HDD. 2 .. for ur Main HDD .. If leopard is not on 1st partion n u have copied the partition 2 partition .. it wont boot because ........ in source it is set to boot from partition 1 n on destination ur putting it on partition 2. what u have to do ..... if u have installed on 1st partition on TEST disk then u shud copy only n 1st partition to destination disk.. other wise it wont boot ... ------------------------------- if u sont wana change partition places. boot with uur DVD ... Main HDD onnn .. TEST HDD out .. now time to run the script again for main HDD/. Plug out ur TEST disk . bocz both partitions 'll have same names if copied. n 'll mismatch ... --------------------------------- now ur ready to boot from main HDD but only Mac. to boot with XP use the tboot scheme after u activate XP partition manually with some boot CD. if ne doubts please ask . ?? @behran also please remove Acronis OS Selector. tboot works much faster n is more simple ..... bcoz its good to have a option to that allows u to boot b/w XP n Mac ... on the black screen .. hope does a solution for u enjoy !!!
