djet
Okay so why won't Apple just start making 2 button mouses? I'm sorta used to control-clicking and yes you can use 2 button mouses, like the mighty mouse, but why won't Apple make it standard? Is it their pride because Windows did it first? Post away! apowerr
It's pointless how you have to enable the Mighty Mouse's second button in System Preferences. I really don't understand Apple's motives either, as there are clear benefits to right click. djet
Yeah I really can't see any reasons to not have right click. I mean sure you could say one mouse button looks better, but hey the mighty mouse didn't have two buttons(and how the heck it knows if your clicking the left side, right side, or center button still gets me!) DagMX
Its for simplicities sake to force developers not to hide stuff away in the right click menu and make it visibly available. This is perfect for little kids and the non-computer savvy and in a perfect world apple would be doing the right thing. Azurael
I never notice not having two trackpad buttons on modern mac laptops with the two-finger scroll/right click option, or older laptops with iScroll2 installed. Why bother adding another one? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66058-one-button-mouse/#findComment-468720 Share on other sites
bluedragon1971
Is it their pride because Windows did it first? Well, for one thing, Windows didn't do it first. That honor would go to any of a number of other systems, not the least of which is the Amiga. bxsci(macuser)
A two button mouse would be very good however the mighty mouse is apples pride and joy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66058-one-button-mouse/#findComment-468850 Share on other sites
A Nonny Moose
It's faster to use keyboard shortcuts anyway. Also, how often do you right-click? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66058-one-button-mouse/#findComment-469072 Share on other sites

A Nonny Moose
Use the keyboard shortcuts. Seriously, you're saving time by using them. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66058-one-button-mouse/#findComment-470052 Share on other sites
JSn1™
The only thing is miss in a MacBook. However it takes more to windows to display the right click menu, than pressing a key and click.
