(MoC)
Well, I'm planning to use my sanding machine on my 3G iPod as soon as I get a new battery. Sound like a good idea? ~pcwiz
No, it doesn't. No one likes the brushed metal look and you're probably going to end up sanding the entire plastic covering right off. djet
Which would look cool except for the whole broken iPod look. Not very stylish. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64485-ipod-3g-brushed-metal-rear-plate/#findComment-468280 Share on other sites
~pcwiz
Yeah, besides how can you create a brushed metal look when the iPod is mostly plastic? djet
Haha true.Well that back is metal, but does anyone really look at that side? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64485-ipod-3g-brushed-metal-rear-plate/#findComment-468291 Share on other sites
U.C.
I did it the hard way, quite some time back. Sand paper and a lot of time. Dont do it, coz the brushed metal we achieve is not deep enough or something. Thus it gets scratched very easily and looks horrible. If you want I will post pics, between my 3G and my Moms 3G. ~pcwiz
That iPod looks revolting. Looks like someone wiped sweat and grime all over the back.
