As expected of apple, they've updated their itunes to 7.4 to add support for the 3G ipod nanos, ipod classic and touch etc... blah blah...

u can find it at www.apple.com/support/downloads/

If you want to try it, try moving your existing iTunes into a new folder, and then installing it. For all the other iTunes updates I've installed, it just downloads the program straight to your Apps folder. If the one you have right now isn't there, you'll hold on to both of them.

does it work on non-apple hardware running OSX?? always useful information as I'm in no mood to fix an install because I updated hastily...thanks....

So far, Apple has never done any updates to Quicktime or iTunes that broke Hackintoshes. The same goes for pretty much all of their applications. The only things to be wary of are system updates (10.4.x) and sometimes Security Updates (although most of those have been benign as well). System updates ALWAYS break Hackintoshes because they update the kernel and other critical system files.
