I am trying to get Battlefield 2 running on my mac. I tried using crossover and that was ok except that alot of the graphics were messed up (plaid water for instance). Then I tried to copy the battlefield 2 files over into the battlefield 2142 cider port I bought after editing the plist to point to it. That just didnt work at all. Does anyone have any ideas?

Edit: forgot something... online works (only tested on native windows)

I am also trying to get this to work, could someone kindly tell me what they had to do to make this run properly, I am having an issue where the ground textures are not showing, and I cannot connect to a LAN server. I used the version Whizkid pointed to, BF2 1.41 from working windows install and my system specs are in my sig.

Thanks.

Edit: found the problem with the graphics, have to enable FBO and FBO cache. Now playing at 1024 x 768, High settings, full screen. Flat rocks in single player. Also have connected successfully to my LAN server, is a little sluggish. Need some insight as to how Cider handles networking.

jpschoute, is your key authentic?

That could be part of the reason, or just try to connect to a different server, and see if you are able too. ltdrifter and I were able to sit down for one day and get BF2 w/Hardjustice mod up and running. Although it seems to have a few minor issues, But that could also be my coomputer and or the drivers that were used to get video and sound going on it. I can only run BF2 at 1024x768 with medium settings for video without any problems. If I set it higher than that I start to loose mouse control intermittently and some artifacting on the video. But like I said that is probably due to the native drivers I used and modified, and has nothing to do with cider.

If it truely is the registry just try to export them out of windows into a text file then transfer the keys manually into cider, that is how we were able to do it.

If it helps here are my computer specs:

Intel Core 2 duo 3.2Ghz

2 gigs ddr2 4200 (PNY)

3 sata2 - 250 gig (windows and other OS'S)

1 15 gig WD IDE (OS X 10.4.10)

Nvidia Geforce 7600 GTX
