Guest Ramm
If you hold down shift while doing most animations, it slows them down drastically. For instance, have multiple windows open, then press Shift - F9 to activate Exposé. Also, hold down Shift and click an item in a stack, same thing. You can also do it with resizing windows. Hold to Ctrl - Shift for even more slowness. I can't tell whether it's a debug feature or just a bug. Guest Ramm
I just heard it is present in Tiger too, though I have never noticed it. I don't see how this could be a feature... oh boy... 500 FPS animation... DsurioN
Yeah it's been in OS X since 10.0 - it's just a feature they put in to demo the "smoothness" of aqua. kevnaca
If you haven't noticed, this is a demo feature to show off the animations. You are not forced to use it, it's not a bug. It's been there since the beginning of OSX. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57331-odd-leopard-trickbug/#findComment-409421 Share on other sites

sg
old news, been in osx since day 1. this is pretty much in every osx demo done by jobs and he's even explaining he's holding down shift most of the time. the first time it was demo'd off with 10.0 was when he was hitting the yellow button and shrinking windows down in the dock.
