I did fix rosetta and Keychain issues though. P5K-VM Core 2 Dua 4300 @ 3.15Ghz GT 7300 256mb 500 MB SATA 2 Gig 800 Mhz Ram. 192 XBench score ....so far! theyoung Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 great thread but still cant figure out what the reason is why the uphack 1.4.9 1.4i install cd gives an error on the apple cd startscreen; the no smoking sign appears... does anybody had the same problem? ste my mobo to AHCI mode and plugged the dvd and hd drive to sataport 1&2. is there another version that you can recomend me? SATA HardDrive and getting a SATA DVD burner for the osx86 reason. 8600 512MB NVIDIA (I just read about 8 series not working.. so i would use on board video for this project The thing is that i do not know anything about osx86.. I will need every help as well as sticking to this post. I currently dual boot XP-MCE and Vista Ultimate. Maybe i can use VM-WARE or Install on another harddrive or partition (what would you recommend?) What version should i get for this motherboard, is there an "installer" going on or any guide to start with? Any information will help me a lot, as soon as i get my results i will post my experiences. Overclock. You see, Ram runs at the speed that the CPU and motherboard tell it to. The "1066mhz" is what is rated for. Then also depends on your multipliers in BIOS and stuff. Memory speed, it's very confusing... Although your FSB is 1333/4 = 333 so it should show up as 667... I just bought the following computer: Gigabyte G33M DS2R Core 2 Quad Q6600 320gb SATA Barracuda Pioneer SATA DVD burner Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 v2 I'm having issues intalling 10.4.8 (JAS version). USB isn't working, my ipod isn't charging and I can't use my keyboard and mouse. This becomes an issue when trying to configure etc. Is there anything I can do? I need to enable AHCI in bios to let it recognise my SATA drives. Any suggestions will be heavily rewarded with magic cookies (chocolate of course). Cheers, Moike. Maybe, just maybe that will work with the g33m-ds2r and the Asus p5k-vm. thysm00 Posted November 8, 2007 Share Posted November 8, 2007 I just bought this board and it seems audio alc889a and network can work with a patch. i just have to boot in ahci mode and that bothers me since boot process is longer. Video card won't work (only vesa mode 1024x768 or 1280x1024 by adding boot options but no QE&CI) even if it's x3100 and that this card seems to work on external display on some notebooks. The rest of the board seems to work well. If somone finds a workaround for the ahci, juste tell me.
