Haven't heard too much about a good kext for the 8xxx series gfx cards. BTW, what kind of drive is this 360gb sata drive in a laptop. Never seen such an animal yet, but would really be interested. It's kinda hard to picture 2 drives would fit into a laptop, could be a double plater drive too, for the moment I really can't tell until I get the laptop. Go on dell's website and pick the inspiron 1720 and customize it, you will see what I mean. So do you think osx would work? rushtrader Posted September 1, 2007 Share Posted September 1, 2007 koolkal's 10.4.10 upgrade will fix the acpi boot problems. the nvidia video still has problem and the intel 4965 wireless is not working, so I am just using linux for now until the wireless is foxed. I can live without the video being 100% bur not without wireless, as that is how I connect and all of my work is done over the Internet. In theory, that should solve a number of problems. (Although, I guess it always depends on what version of OSX you're using...) I can get leopard installed but cannot startup on first boot (after install).
