Takuro
Similiar to my post on Toast 7 working, Aperture now works flawlessly in the new 8F1111a build, whereas it wouldn't evne open in the last build, 8F1111. I'll post more apps that now work with Altivec as I discover them... jokinawa
Can you check if Final Cut 5 Pro works? As Mine crashes in 8F1111 after 3 bounces. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5628-aperture-works-in-8f1111a/#findComment-35600 Share on other sites

That is odd; When I run aperture via the package contents > MacOs > Aperture: running without the patches, the splash screen comes up, menus appear and it dies with a "illegal function" error running with the patches, nothing happens and directly get a "segmentation fault" error I must be doing something wrong with the patches. Running a P4 3.2 with a X800Pro, QE + CI I wish i could get aperture running. mutahir
When I try to run Aperture it says minimum hardware not met. I am running a: P4 650 3.4GHz 4GB RAM Intel 900GMA 8f1111a Any Ideas? Hello Jokinawa, I found and grabbed this off the net .... download this installation script/file and place it in : Step 1 1- Insert Aperture DVD and make a read-write disc image of it. (IE with Disk Utility) 2- Mount the freshly created image on your desktop. 3- Type ? + Shift + g in the Finder and type the following: /Volumes/Aperture/Packages/Aperture.pkg/Contents/Resources/ 4- Press return to access the "Resources" folder and replace "InstallationCheck" 5- Now you can install with your own serial number. If you have downloaded aperture, then just right click on aperture.pkg and show contents and then browse to 'resources' folder and replace the file over there 'installation check' with the one provided on the following link its a 2mb .dmg http://www.mytempdir.com/312227 Hope it works Regards Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5628-aperture-works-in-8f1111a/#findComment-35799 Share on other sites

mutahir
Is that an installation crack? Yes, I think so as it replaces the cpu check ...etc. Thanks mutahir, But I got it installed by removing that but then when I launch the app it gave me the error. i think you shud try again, but not removing rather replacing those files .its working here for me but its not 100% fast - its OK. did u downloaded that patch, mount it and it will have instructions as well, i found this on a torrent website i have forgotten Hope it works for you! zerozerosix
With my computer Aperture almost works except... the editor window (black) Perhaps it is related to the ATI tearing bug ??? BTW it's horribly slow, far from beeing usable. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5628-aperture-works-in-8f1111a/#findComment-35841 Share on other sites
ccihon
Same here.....thumbnails are fine but the editing window is black......loupe tools shows the image is there, just not displayed. I'm running on a 915g chipset with supported graphics, dvi-d add2 adapter....QE and coreimage fully supported. Does anybody see the full image in the upper window? BTW, after upgrading to 8F1111a Using camera raw with CS2 crashes....I'm going to try the beta camera raw plugin and see if it still does it. snowmen
I'm using the computer spec as below... no QE/CI... the program runs stable but slow, and I cannot view the editing windows... p.s. I am not using RAW though... Aperture cannot recongnize my Leica's RAW file. Import JPEG haven't crashed yet...
