Kallis
Can you get a screen shot of the active window over a white background? I'm curious to see exactly what the new shadow looks like. Here you go:http://bayimg.com/babGOaabA Dunno if you know or not but in Safari 3 you can middle-click the home button to make a new tab, a la firefox et al. It doesn't focus to it automatically however, which is a bit annoying - but still, better than nothing. I'm a command T person myself. It hasn't crashed for me yet. can i see a picture of how the transparent menubar looks with a nonstandard apple picture? can i see a picture of how the transparent menubar looks with a nonstandard apple picture? http://bayimg.com/kAblkaABAhttp://bayimg.com/LABLgaaba http://bayimg.com/LaBlIAaBa http://bayimg.com/LabLOaAba http://bayimg.com/MablcaabA http://bayimg.com/MABlIAAbA
seclusion
I installed Leopard on a fresh partition on the MacPro last night. Then moved all my stuff over from Tiger. All apps are working, no issues I can see. I use mine with Logic Pro, it boots up fine and works. All my 3rd party pluggings weren't recognized, so they may need a reinstall. Haven't looked into it that deep yet. Overall feels good, yes faster on most things, only played with it for about 10 minutes this morning, but all here Later
AppleNick
I have one question. What option for formatting your disk would you choose? Journaled or Journaled case-sensitive?

iDarbert
Finder does not hang if a networked drive gets disconnected. ALLELUJHA! You have NO idea how many times I had to brutally shut down my iMac because I took my laptop out of the network without mounting the share first. Word, I do the same when I'm connected to the Xserve I frequently work with; scares the begeses out of me as I try and coax the OS into responding....and resort, eventually, to a hard shutdown. BlackShadowWolf
I was taking a look through the latest Leopard release, loving it , and I decided to see how the progression of zfs was coming along. I opened Terminal and typed 'zfs' and came up with this. You must be root in order to load the ZFS kext internal error: failed to initialize ZFS library Interesting, so I inquired and typed in 'sudo zfs' and entered my password. It came up with this. ZFS Readonly implemntation is loaded! To download the full ZFS read/write kext with all functionality enabled, please go to http://developer.apple.com Read-Only ZFS Implementation missing command usage: zfs command args ... where 'command' is one of the following: ~commands here~ I searched the developer site and couldnt find anything about zfs :/. I checked the extensions folder and sure enough there was a zfs_readonly.kext there, as well as a zfs.fs in the Filesystems folder in /System/Library. Im wondering how things will progress from here
Dialekt
Can anyone elaborate on resolution independance please? I just bought the latest 17" Macbook Pro and apparently I seem to be the only crazy one that feels that the new 1920x1200 resolution doesn't seem suited for such a small screen. Everything feels tiny. I've been talked out of returning this machine twice due to "workarounds". Adjusting fonts and icons etc. Today/Tonight may be my last night with the machine..I don't want to be making a mistake I'll regret later. Anyhow I'm planning to get the 1680x1050 version ..but if resolution independance helps my eyes then I'm all for it. Or any other suggestions for global font increase. How do you guys feel about this Macbook Pro? Would you rather have this one or a lower resolution one? It just feels weird to me because I see the same resolution on the 24" Imac and it looks COMPLETELY suited for a monitor of that size. lol..loooked perfect. Anyhow ..thanks in advance. I'm gonna try and load the leopard in a couple hours but I'm not as familiar with mac as I am with PC. Hope I don't mess anything up.
