Anyway, when I'll get it, I'm going to do some serious tests about ZFS. Just a few minutes ago I was reading this on the OpenSolaris developers community:

$ sudo zpool status

Returned this:

ZFS Readonly implementation is loaded!

To download the full ZFS read/write kext with all functionality enabled, please go to http://developer.apple.com

no pools available

So it seems that a ZFS r/w kext will be out soon on Apple website. But I was thinking another thing... Older builds of Leopard HAD, actually, a ZFS.kext read/write capable, am I wrong? So it could be possible to make Leopard read/write ZFS partitions. If this is true, we could use the "HFS+ boot partition" trick to have OSX on a ZFS volume, using a minimalist installation in a small HFS+ partition used for bootstrap.

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'll do it on my MacBook. Maybe I could try on my AMD, but I'm sure nobody will release a crack for this beta, even to a restricted group of people, am I wrong? :thumbsup_anim:

I dunno, saying the name is pretty stupid aswell, but for some reason.. fine.

But actually linking to a torrent site is one notch dumber.

I'm not having a go though, by your typing and spelling skills I doubted that you were stupid enough.

Was that a compliment?

Anyways, the site was in spanish, so it won't help most of you guys.

All that does is show that people are running it. We know that people have it.. but none of us do. If I did.. I'd post it somewhere. Or share it in some way shape or form.

Bottom line is we all want it.. we all can't wait... every minute is killing us. So.. we need to get it. And its a joke that its taking this long. It should be out by now... somewhere. Well somewhere we can get our hands on it. Its been 3 days since it was released. When Vista was released there were 1000's of torrents with the RC, and RTM. months before it was in stores. and the same day microsoft released it. So why is this such a challenge.

So why is it I can watch a movie in DVD quality 2 weeks before it hits theaters, but I can't get my hands on a copy of a DVD that 100's of people in CA have?

That image is not Leopard 9A466, its from a video early last year purporting to be Leopard. The actual About Mac dialog in 9A466 displays the build number. It was on http://marky.org before he pulled the post.

i doubt it'd be very hard to track even without that. for example....say you install leopard and pop open safari and take a quick visit to any of apple's sites, all they have to do is check out their stats to find out what hardware you're using, what OS, what browser and obviously your IP. ....They can then match this with the IP's of those on their ADC network and whoever is running leopard on an IP that ISN'T listed there...they can assume that it's a leaked copy.

that wouldn't really work out because the beta wasn't downloaded from ADC................now that i think about it that would have applied for tiger back in the day.

I cant find the website anymore, but i saw it that Apple will check who's Leopard using.

Doesn't seem since this is a beta that maybe it should be used off the net... play with the features and then remove it from the computer...

And I thought the latest Leopard build has brand new icons for folders? I see the 'old' ones there at Macmate. So you're right about that image not being 9A466.

What the hell are you talking about. I was just saying that how is it that Leopard is taking this long to come out when everything else gets leaked weeks before its ever coming out.

Hmm, searching the Google translated version reveals only one instance of 'torrent' on the page and theres no URL with it, I think this is a dead end. I doubt many Japanese people flew all the way to the US for the conference anyway.
