Grav3Mind
I don't know, I installed 10.4.9 from the DVD. Didn't wanted to "play" with the command line But why wouldn't it work on .4.8? well i believe if you look at the minimum requirements... its 10.4.9... unless i read wrong. and that would prove true seeing as how i cant get it to work @_@. the stupid registration code wont work. and when i try to install it gets like to where it says running the installer script and then i get that {censored} gray window from apple that says you need to restart your computer....so i think it needs 10.4.9. and i just ruined my install of osx trying to upgrade...sooooo i think im goanna go find that JaS auto upgrader . I don't know, I installed 10.4.9 from the DVD. Didn't wanted to "play" with the command line But why wouldn't it work on .4.8? hmm i have a question....anyone here actually get this to run on a 10.4.8 installation?? FavleX
Just installed on my MacAcer...impressive. The most is about Unity ,seeing Internet Explorer and WMP moving around on desktop with almost no drawing problems is very good. The icons on dock are pretty ugly at least for me (they stay there pixaleted), and the minimized windows, when located on the dock, show the desktop itself instead of the real bacground apps drawed. In my Hackint0sh , Fusion says no able to start openGL or something , although the fews small screensavers installed on XP MCE by default work almost flawless.I played a little with PinBall..it's the same as in the real XP..funny. Now I give a go to Parallels , it supposed to be better on virtualizing the 3d graphics driver (especially low cost like mine..)but unfortunately , No unity. Shimms
I'm still on 10.4.8 and Fusion b4 worked fine for me - including Unity in all its glory. I running at 10.4.8, lazy to upgrade cos' of the commandline thingy.. Btw, you running at amd or intel? Maybe amd problem? :pirate2: I try latest parallels and this vmware, parallels performs better at least. vmware quite slow for me, maybe just my machine problem. Takuro
Unity looks impressive, but I have a feeling that it'll be just a jerky and slow as Coherence in Parallels because my processor sucks. The expose feature seemed neat since Parallels tends to lump all windows programs together instead of distinguishing separate windows. The background music in that demo video sounds like it was made by somebody with ADHD, no offense. EtherealRemnant
Installed fine... but getting it to run is a completely different story... As soon as I clicked on the New... button, it froze and I got the pinwheel of death. Clayman
I think VMWare will be much better than Parallels. It just feels much better designed, it's more fluent and the unity mode is great. But it's not yet supporting OpenGL, etc. - I'm doing 3d and tried some apps, most of them didn't let me rotate the viewport. But man... it'd be so neat if OpenGL would work as well as on Windows.
