dieterdanger
Hello, first of all thanks for all your efforts. I tested on my Notebook with X200M (devid=0x5a62) with the following configuration: ATI1Slice106.kext Callisto disabled ATIRadeon9700.kext koverg patch IONDRV you mentioned a few posts earlier Chun-Nan's kexts installed (last version) My system is iatkos 1.0r2 with 10.5.1 leopard. there is no kernel panic during booting-time, but i only get a totally messed up screen when the logon screen should appear. I would be very glad to participate in testing and would be very grateful if you could give me some hint on what I could have done wrong. Thank you very much. k3nny
My first guess would be the IOPCIFamily.kext by Chun-Nan. Did you install all the extensions at the same time? If not try proceeding step by step and looking what exactly is not working. The latest rev for Tiger (rev2) of IOPCIFamily.kext isnt working for me.. (hardware id: 5955) .. i guess i can only wait.. Good luck to you all

treyx86
Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't quite figure out how Slice's work on IOPCIFamily.kext plays into the issue with the x200 video chipset? Anybody help me out with that one. I thought it might have to do with the fact that we were attempting to use Chun-Nan's IOPCI earlier, but I'm just too dense to gather what's going on right now! I can't to tell you this long story. Resume: before patching ATIRadeonXXXX.kext we need to get good addresses and interrupts, i.e. IOPCIFamily. And may be additional driver to tune Radeon chip after getting a good base. I also don't know all details so any information may be useful. About ati.amd.com - PowerPC only! dvavd
2 persistent, k3nny, dvavdI don't see any messeges from AGPGart in your dmesg. Why? Maybe it's because 200m is not an AGP card. According to http://www.ati.com/products/radeonxpress200m/index.html we have PCIe chipset.

Yes, AGPGartTraceOnly needs to make a trace of your PCI bus. I shall try to write another procedure.

hackintosh4life
Has anyone every just wondered if the ATI 1100 (aka 200m) just cant handle (support) QE/CI because its not strong enough? :pirate2: Like a good friend of mine used to say. ayle
It handle aero or compiz fusion fine so I don't think it's a power problem. More a design one.
DocDoom
the x200 chipset is more powerful than the intel GMA Graphics, and the intel supports QE/CI greetings Doc
