Well, as I haven't been active on these threads for nearly a month and am not continuing with this network, I feel that (after seeing a few goodbye threads) it would be appropriate to post my own.

So, on that note, let me try and keep this short. Though I am no longer active here, I have not left the OSx86 scene. I will still be active on hack.in.t0sh (the periods are for the word filter, if they exist on the forums). I will not be posting on these forums or accessing the Moofspeak network to help people. I can only hope that this site continues to thrive long after this conflict is over (see semthex's site for the news).

Peace out. :)

Wots your problem kiko, you used to be nice I heard.

This kind of language does not earn you respect.

come on dave, cheer up ;)

I heard u have problems with certain irc servers... but feck... leave the fighting to someone else... you're a kid... for gods sake.. not old enough to drink beer even.. leave alone discussing with adults...

Ahh , so its become a personal attack now?. Who ver heard of free speech, i dont like him, and i hope he burns in hell ;). simple. and np101137, and all of a sudden your a dev? rofl, what do you do? nop, nop, nop, mov eax, 1 . and yes, i have had problems with the servers, and bikedude in person, so i dont think this is a un-solicited post. Anyone who has been around will now what i meant by his leaving all the time, this has to be the umm, 5th time hes left. Basically, its just weak.

And np101137, let what go? do you think i really could care less if i dont see bikedude around here anymore? SemjaZa hasnt posted in a couple of months so this all of a sudden "im leaving" doesnt really bother me either, as i havent seen a post of his for ages, not that i like aRt to leave in any case. But after being silent for a couple of months then suddenly "leaving", meh. I dont think half the people here know the truth about semthex and all the other so called devs, i.e bikedude etc etc.

Kiko dude, I think you just need to word your comments more calmly.

Say what you need to say but try and keep it friendly.

if you think he goes and comes back like a yo-yo then fine. But just maybe say it like that without the "I hope you burn in hell forever".

Anyway this site is going down fast. We need some serious help.

Lol, this site is going down, maybe i should word my posts a little better, but this site is not going down, bikedude never did anything, except from propose drivers and then let others do the work, Im not saying im a dev, i dont even know why i have this little badge (alothough it is pretty). But if you knew what happened, im sure you'll change your mind pretty quickly. anyways. np101137, go make another thread that says you are leaving as well, most of the lamers are doing it nowadays anyway, and using the new administration as a excuse is lame, its not hard to see why you are really leaving, well, have fun with your bum chums on hu land.

I second that. You can also see how (un)frequently people post, except for the ones looking for help (and the never ending "religious" arguments in the Real Life forums).

Hey all. Wow, this thread quickly went into flame-fest mode (I've been on a trip all week and just returned...). I've cleaned it up as best I can, while letting the important and not-terribly-insulting posts stay.

A few thoughts:

bikedude - It's sad to see you go, just like it is anytime a member leaves. Although it's clear to most of us that your post is a not-so-subtle dig at me as opposed to a "love you guys, goodbye" kind of message, it's fine. I'll let it stay, but I'm closing the thread since what's said has been said (and I seriously doubt that, based on the responses above, the rest will be constructive).

All - The site is certainly not "going down fast." It's been, what, less than two weeks since the Fubra team took over? Give them a chance. And even though in the back of your mind the "I'm leaving" posts may be mounting, I can assure you 1) the site will continue to grow even though a few high profile members (shard, other, etc) have moved on and 2) the Fubra guys and I have a lot of cool plans for the upcoming days and weeks. bikedude's post has an ulterior motive, which is fine - but don't let it convince you that somehow the site is dying. Quite to the contrary, we're putting things in place (like a new administration, new staff members, etc) that are making the site stronger than before.

Just give it time. :o
