( :idea: In order not to post in every post that has to do with the ASUS P5W DH Deluxe I'm making my own post to ask my question :dev: )

 

 

I'm planning to buy a ASUS P5W DH Deluxe because I red a lot on it and saw that it support more hardware than any other motherboard for an install of MacOSX. Just wifi and remote isn't recognized. :P

 

So my real question is; Which version of Jas or another distribution did you use for an almost 'perfect' system? Simple question I think B)

hello friend,

 

my p5w recognize only 3,2 gig ram, i have 4 x 1 gig kingston 667mhz.

the startup post show 3,2 gig, the inside bios info show 4 gig.

under osx, about that mac show 4 but monitor activity show only 3,3 and photoshop cs3 show 3,3.

i update the bios to v.2004 but nothing change.

That's beacause Tiger is a 32-bit OS and theoretical it's impossible to adress 4gb of ram.

ASUS P5W Everything works

Including Wifi

Also I am able to boot 10.4.9 from external SATA set at Basic Mode

Also Working EZ RAID 0 with OS 10.4.9

What mod DVD did you use in able to have all working :( Uphuck v1.3???

 

Can you give a little tutorial here for everything you've done? What installed and when?

Go into the bios and turn memory remapped to "ON", u get 4 GB
