I use OSX for most of my daily computing, using the internet, etc. All I use XP for is ripping and burning DVDs. K I'm about to build a new pc with this motherboard and the 7900GS, could you please, please, please provide a detailed guide of how you got each part to work. i.e. internet, network, audio etc. It would be much appreciated!!! skootyloops Posted July 2, 2007 Share Posted July 2, 2007 Ok I have the ASUS P5N-e, and everytime I try to load directly from my 10.4.7 DVD, I get the following error EBIOS read error: Device timeout Block 9145456 Sectors 64 It repeats a couple of times then reboots my machine. Trying with the following: Celeron D 420 (C2D based) 256MB DDR533 (D9GKW Based) 6200TC ASUS P5N-E 20GB Western Digital IDE DVD Reader Anyone able to help me with this? Its really starting to bug me. Disabled AUDIO for now, however will re-enable that soon. ReScorpio Posted July 21, 2007 Share Posted July 21, 2007 My friend did the driver for me, he edit the AppleYukon.kext and change the device, vendor id, and other script to make it work. After that, I have to edit the Subnet mask, DNS Host, IP Address, and Router address. Could you please ask your friend what changes he made and what script did he use and share it with us? I also have Marvell 88E1116 PHY controller, so would be great to make it work. Thanks in advance! I'm using 10.4.9 with Semthex Kernel 8.8.1. 8.9.1 is too unstable and kernel panic to much. AlC883 Audio patched with Azilla HDA for 8.8.1, great sound quality, mic works too! Wstern Digital 160GB IDE work out of the box, but very slow performance, maybe need driver to enable UDMA. SATA no luck. EVGA Geforce 8800GTS 320mb patched with mac.nub 8800 installer. QI/CE fully enable. Front Row works by pressing command+esc. All 3D application works except for some 3d games. USB Mouse and keyboard works out of the box, USB flash drive regonized but not show up on Desktop. Realtek RTL8139 Ethernet card work out of the box. No patch need. guitardood Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 Total failure with my my P5N-E SLI and kalaway. I installed to my USB hdd then cloned it. My SATA just gave +HFS partition errors. EDIT: I got all the way to formatting my SATA drive by using an old mouse and removing all USB from my BIOS. However on format after 2 min or so it goes frozen.
