But i have a question, is the sse2 10.4.8 dvd released (with the new kernel?) because i couldn't find it on torrent sites and there's no topic about that dvd release. Auggie Posted December 28, 2006 Share Posted December 28, 2006 JaS said he MAY get around to releasing a 10.4.8 SSE2 DVD sometime soon. He mentioned MAYBE being able to work on it this weekend, depending on how much he has to do... I'm anxiously awaiting it. I'm on Intel with now but had soem troubles with other 8.8.1 10.4.8 kernel updates and OS updates, so I'm going to wait for JaS. Whenever he gets around to it! In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy my 10.4.7 + 8.4.1 kernel from him! I hope that's what he's working on right now. If not, it'll still be a good release, I'm sure... I just had trouble with the 8.8.1 kernel installation, and I'm hoping JaS integrates it into his newest SSE2 10.4.8 DVD... There IS a JaS SSE2 10.4.8 UPDATE disk out without newest kernel on it, I have that... It's not made by JaS, but it does work... the burned product shows as osx86dvd in CDFS, Mac_OS_X_Install_Disc_x86 in Darwinboot, and Mac OS X Instal Disc x86 in Finder.
