Same situation here. iwi2200 on jas osx 10.4.8 with io80211 and Apple802 framwork and kext from 10.4.7 combo update. With a 2915abg card. Debug version works. plain v6 doesnt work. Speed is limited. In windows speed can get up to 500kb/s, in Mac OS its capped around 70kb/s. I tought it might be because of the debuging info but the not debuggin driver doesnt work... The rest is ok, no disconnections or anything. I get the airport icon but the card is not detected as an airport but as an integrated ethernet. quick question, is there a way to specify the name of the network if its not being broadcasted? Waiting for a version 7 without debuging info and WAP Lots of thanks guys. It doesn't like to start if the wireless is switched on before the OS launches. Airport icon is shown, but no signal (even though I am able to surf). Now if I could just get the trackpad working on this unit... Thanks for all the hard work! cyclonefr
I have a wireless on/off button but it seems to be managed by the motherboard (ie, it works without any special drivers in Windows, if I put it on off, it turns my bluetooth + iw3945 off automatically, as if I unplugged a USB dongle) and NOT by the card itself. FlipHDK
Nope, the iwi3945 doesn't have any button's. All you can do is disable the wireless (FN+F2). xkazu
in the log there's nothing after the "press wireless button" what happens when you press the wireless button? i'm working in rx speed improvement. please wait kazu, maybe we should make a p_debug parameter to allow debuging setting in the info.plist? debug print is defined in header files if we will create p_debug options , checking in header may be difficult. about performance problem. I tested without debug print. but driver performance is very lower. we have the other big problem about iwi driver. IOLeg should not be used in interrupt service routine.( it is written in apple's doccument) we may implement buffering print routine to avoid this....
