Once installed , in the system information it shows the v. 25A5327h

@Anto65 and @eSaF

I can confirm the Installer's build number is different from the macOS Tahoe 5th Beta. That's clearly a weird glitch in Tahoe's 5th beta installer file.

Bootabler detects and shows data correctly so there's not much that I can do about it.

The story continues  😁  ( but we already know how things are )

Installer version displayed by Bootabler / and the version actually installed

Yup, the version in the installer's info.plist doesn't match the version installed!

I had a shock 😁  I downloaded the wrong installer ?

... then I remembered , everything ok , Thx

I couldn't find a way to fix this issue, the Tahoe's Installer show one version but when it's installed it shows something else, my hunch is that might be different because of the Intel and Apple Silicon variations.

Hi guys,

Can you please check this version. I've fixed the incorrect version detection for macOS Tahoe and other versions of macOS Installers.
Parsed terminal output for better progress management on USB disk creation steps.

Let me know if there are any issues.

Thanks

Can you create a bootable ISO on a blank DVD?

Cheers, Howard

You can save the installer as ISO and burn the ISO to the DVD, the app doesn't support the burn to DVD, but if you have a big enough RW-DVD you can test and see if that works or not.

Thanks so much.  I will try it.

Cheers, Howard

Well I tried my best but I couldn't get it to work on a USB stick or external hard drive.  I tried to create a bootable stick and ISO with both media  freshly formatted.  The progress bar got to 15% and then it just died.  I downloaded another installer and tried again and got the same amount of progress before it stopped. Oh well.

Make sure there are no USB disks with the same name of the ISO image you want to create are mounted, if you have the same USB installer and want to create the ISO image, when the dmg is mounted the app might confuse the destination.

remove all the USB disk, select the installer and use create ISO button and let it complete the process. Once the ISO image is created just mount it and then you can select all the contents of the ISO to any USB disk and it will be bootable. Just to make sure you have hidden files visible by pressing command+shift+. in the finder window.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi guys,

New version 1.3.9 Build 3.2 is available for download and update through the app.

What's New in This Version:

  • Fixed the incorrect macOS Tahoe build number detection
  • Improved progress steps management for creating bootable macOS installer USB disks
  • Improved removable, external disk detection
  • Removed automatically closing the completion task view
  • Added macOS details in completion task view

Cheers

  • Thanks 1

Yes, I'd say the USB is now formatted faster than the previous version.

Once the process is complete, the time taken is displayed.

I launched the newly created installer and, of course, it works.

Nice works 👍 thx

@eSaF my dear friend,

I'm glad that the issue is resolved and the lates release wasn't faulty.

It's my pleasure to create handy tools and you guys enjoy using them.

Cheers bro ❤️

To all my friends that use Bootabler,

As a side note, sometimes when you copy the installer from another source or location, If the app stalled on the first preparation step that might be because macOS is trying to verify the installer, just be patient and let the macOS does its thing and the app will start the procedure once the installer's verification is done. It might take some time to verify the installer but it will pass.

v. 1.4 with few adjustments is available:

What's New in This Version

  • Made the USB disks icon bigger in the disk list view for better UI
  • Size check on the destination USB disks for better macOS Installer compatibility
  • Changed macOS icons from the InstallAssistant.icns to use ProductPageIcon.icns instead (I personally prefer the ProductPageIcon.icns)
  • Code optimization for optimal performance

You can click the macOS icon in the main UI and it will copy the icon to the clipboard and you can paste it on the USB disk to replace the USB disk's icon.
