The procedure works on my xps 9360 and I have apple hda running, I went back to Recovery to re enable but when I restart it goes to "Panic" and I have to go back to disabled. Are there solutions or do I have to keep the csr disabled now. Thank you, thanks and greetings to everyone

@calmesal, If you use later versions of OCLP-MOD, you have to select the Apple HDA and USB patch manually:

There is no need to go to recovery just to set SIP.  Setting csr=03080000 is enough

Let's see if I have time and try without having to enter without the WhateverGreen.kext active and apply the AppleHDA patch on a USB-SSD test diskimage.thumb.jpeg.16e035f78e2dde516b4c9a35d25962e3.jpeg

All attempts to get AppleHDA.kext working again on a genuine late 2013 iMac, neither

with MyKextInstaller V4.1 nor with V1.1, have failed. No sound is possible.
Does anyone have any idea how to get the sound back?

Did you do a fresh install?
MyKextInstaller works great. I just did a fresh install of macOS Tahoe and everything works fine. What version of AppleHDA did you install?

Could you provide us with more details?
Since this is a genuine Mac, did you disable SIP through recovery mode?

I updated from beta 3 to beta 4.
I used the same AppleHDA.kext (4.5 MB) as in beta 3, and it still worked with the old MyKextInstaller v.3.
And yes, I always completely disabled SIP.

Do you think it's due to the update from beta 3 to beta 4? I can't imagine that. I can do a clean install,

but I don't think the AppleHDA.kext will work then, or maybe it will?

do me a favor, restore the snapshot with MyKextIntaller after reboot, run MyKextInstaller again and install AppleHDA Make sure AppleALC is installed and working correctly.

Thanks, my friend, for the message. Which AppleALC.kext do I need to install? Can you send me this AppleALC.kext? That seems to be the problem that it's not working. And can I also install this AppleALC.kext with your MyKextInstaller?

Sorry but the value 7f080000 is not good. Avoid bit 4 to be set. So 6f080000

I'm using an older version, V.4.2, which I still have. However, the latest version doesn't work. SimpleLoader works, but it doesn't load audio. The only way to load audio is MyKextInstaller v.4.2.
