Fixed! Now there is no longer a change in the disk name ;)
The updated version is in the previous post.

And I wanted to wait  :hysterical:

So I restored the previous snapshot (perfect) to try the v4.1

This time the disk name remained " Tahoe " 👍

I followed what MyKextInstaller asked me to search for on my machine. I managed to extract AppleALC-1.9.5-RELEASE and put the file AppleALC.kext and insert the file it requested. After that, wait for it to finish and it will ask me to reboot.

Okay, as you said
I won't have the problem that when Dortania updates ALC every time , i won't have to re-inject it with MyKextInstaller :hysterical:

You laugh like this, does that mean I did something wrong? If it's not right, it would be great if you could tell me.

@naiclub AppleALC is a kext made by acidanthera, AppleHDA is the kext made by Apple responsable with sound in our machines. AppleALC has nothing to do with the purpose of MyKextInstaller was build. You just need to use MyKextInstaller for restoring old Apple kexts to patch the new macOSs to work in "old" machines. AppleALC should reside in EFI and need to be injected by Clover or OC.

Then can I delete it? If I want to delete it, what method should I use? If you could tell me, I would appreciate it.

I think the easiest way is to restore the snapshot with MyKextInstaller and then install only AppleHDA using MyKextInstaller.

Ok, I have restored the snapshot and installed the original AppleHDA.kext without the AppleALC.kext file. The result is that the sound works perfectly. But there is one thing to think about. It takes 3-4 times to boot to the desktop. I have reset the nVRAM. (MyKextInstaller4.1 is great)

MyKextInstaller... I'm confused... AppleALC? AppleHDA?
Does myKextInstaller resolve the Wi-Fi issue: BCM94360NG?
🤦‍♂️

At first I was confused as well as you. Now I understand. You have to use the original AppleHDA.kext file that Mr. Mirone posted earlier.

The second one you asked probably won't work.

Guys, once you've installed the KDK

AppleHda.kext can be found here:

/Library/Developer/KDKs/KDK_26.0_25A5279m.kdk/System/Library/Extensions

No need to search around.

eSaF, you've made the evening a bit lively today 🤣

Previously I used the file from the one you mentioned /Library/Developer/KDKs/KDK_26.0_25A5279m.kdk/System/Library/Extensions but the sound still didn't come, so I had to try using this AppleALC.kext, but since you said it was wrong I fixed it and downloaded the file from Mr. Mirone and it worked.

There are still some improvements to be made regarding the app’s interface.

1. A prompt for KDK when clicked not needed if  Monterey & below detected.

2. Automatically in /L/E if voodoohda (Bigsur+)

Mandatory Requirements:

=========================

Disable SIP:

csrutil disable

csrutil authenticated-root disable

Disable SecureBootModel in your config.plist.

Install the KDK matching your system version.

If you experience issues booting the system, you must restore the snapshot by entering Recovery Mode and typing the following commands in the Terminal:

mount -uw /Volumes/Tahoe

bless --mount /Volumes/Tahoe --bootefi --last-sealed-snapshot

Note: Replace 'Tahoe' with the name of your volume.

thanks for the information, MyKextInstaller V4 audio working

thanks

the disk name remained macOS Tahoe
